Damn, love that gif.
What option? What does it do? I didn't get it.
He's not talking about a literal option in the game settings.
He's basically saying "we could have removed part of the game, and try to make it work without that part, but it hurts pacing and story to do that."
Did you play TLoU? There were body outlines there too.
I love the stuff they added to the game, but it looks like Naughty Dog hasn't fixed the combat, which is a huge part of the game. You don't have to play the full game to understand that the combat is still cumbersome. Besides, Uncahrted 2 the Uncharted games haven't really had good combat mechanics so it's a little disappointing that this game follows suit.
Naughty Dog really doesn't innovate they take stuff from other games and wrap it up with an amazing blockbuster story. I love that they borrowed the marking element from Metal Gear, but may be they should have borrowed some of the fluid combat. Oh well, most of us will just have to work through the cumbersome combat to see the spectacle.
Yep. And that's a great thing.Used to dat Battlefront PBR Photogeometry.
They always had a stylized look. Like a balance between cartoony art/realism.

How about Crysis in 2007? Surely something else did it before thatYou know TLOU mp had tagging enemies way before MGSV so whose borrowing from whom? And Battlefield before that... This MGSV did it first mentality is really annoying.
Didn't the original Farcry have it too? I could just be thinking of Crysis. How about Crysis in 2007? Surely something else did it before that

Yeah, that's the impression I have. This feels and looks like Uncharted they always wanted to make
Yep, I'm just giving examples, I was trying to think of others but those were the first that came to mind. But journalists aren't helping by repeating Metal Gear in their comparisons... kindafunny did it, and I was like... WHY? Plenty of other games use the mechanic, MGSV hardly made it original/created it in the first place. All I can think of is setting and it's a recent game.
But I thought the ps4 is already outdated and we need the ps4.5
I am really excited for this and have been awaiting the OT like many. Meanwhile, Naughty Dog is trolling (as friendly as can be) Remedy by ending a major embargo today.
Seeing 5+ threads for uncharted 4 pop the day before QB really highlights the difference in excitement about the two titles. We don't even have an OT for QB let alone much hype on these boards.
As an owner of both consoles I have no "dog" in this fight. I just wanted to highlight ND's masterclass trolling.marketing 101
Holy hell that looks beautiful. "And go!"
"And.. no" lol the banter is awesome.

They do something different with the winch towards the end of the vid to get the bridge to collapse on TwoSixNine vid. It's interesting cause on KindaFunny they discussed if it was possible.
Crossposting from the QB review thread. I just really love the gamesmanship here. ND's preview embargo ending today was certainly no coincidence. I didn't expect the preview heat to be so stifling though:
Calling it now. Drake ends up killing Sam (because he either threatened or actually killed Elena or Sully) and the game ends on a semi-sad to an outright sad note depending on which of these scenarios happened.
In-game character faces and animations certainly pale compared to this month's beautiful Xbox exclusive, Quantum Break
I think that the most vocal popularity of a game is when reviews are out because most of the time people can't play the game. Since QB had their reviews out several days ago... well... people don't have much to say anymore until they can actually play the game tomorrow.

I can't imagine what ND did to get those visuals out. Simply stunning.
The tagging system can be turned off.
It's all good, brothers!

MORE FYLING DRAKE
IDK but is that Sony's decision isn´t it?
"I didn't want to have a laugh at someones expense," adding that, "I thought wed matured beyond that."
"We actually had the whole thing modelled and in there," explains Druckmann, concluding that the team, "decided to make the call not to do it." A choice that was made internally: "we had a big debate about it and kind of approached it from all kinds of angles and decided we weren't comfortable having it in our game"
Interesting choice.
I respect it though, classy move.
Get rid of those damn enemy highlights doe.
