Where? When? When did I say Nintendo would only focus on specs? I'm fully expecting a "gimmick" of some sort, but logically I'm not expecting Nintendo to go a 3rd time sacrificing other important necessities in a console for a gimmick that may or may not succeed. Nintendo went this route with the Wii U because the Wii was a success, they thought that they could recreate that success with the Wii U and that failed, chances are they are going in a more balanced route rather than taking this same huge risk again. Having a system with decent specs in comparison to the competition, trying to get 3rd party support and having their own "hook" that separate them from the competition.
And the thing is, no one's even setting up high expectations. What's so hard to believe? That the NX, Nintendo's next generation system will be more powerful than the PS4? A fucking 3 year old system? You act like people are expecting a 5TF GPU and a damn core i7 ffs
Either way, no one's taking these rumors as 100% fact, but when you have multiple people (who have been right in the past about multiple things) saying the thing will have decent specs, it has a good chance of being true. I'm not just running on reddit and taking all the BS rumors on there as fact. I don't listen to a rumor unless someone credible has said it, and I've heard multiple credible people say it (Credible meaning they have been right about information in the past and have proven they have real sources with solid information). LCGeek passes that for me, Emily Rogars passes that for me, and WSJ (becuase they are such a big publication) do as well, all people who are saying the the system will have specs in the realm of the PS4. You can believe what you want, but that's my take on it.
