You'd be lucky with a 8/10 from EDGE.
UC2/3 got a 9/10, The Last of Us 10/10.

I can't wait for the gaf match where everyone picks Chloe and just synchronize taunt.

Nice.Seems Nathan Brown (EDGE) likes it as well.
The game is really, really great. It has all the greatness as the previous three games, with better, more nuanced writing and more gameplay variety.
The criticism that it's poorly paced is super legitimate, though. This is a game that's quite a few hours longer than it should be. The counter-point (from people that haven't played it) will be "But how can more of an incredible game be a bad thing, dummy?!?" - what those people either don't understand or are willfully ignoring is that this poor pacing isn't in service of the story - it HARMS the story.
Literally dozens of times in this game Drake will run into a locked door, and have to take very very lengthy detours around, just to keep the plot going. In one especially egregious moment he finds a locked door, goes through hell to go around it the long way, and then ends up having to go BACK to the door he started at. It's exasperating and lazy.
This is a MUCH longer campaign than any previous Uncharted - around 15 hours, compared to the ~10-11 hours Uncharted 1-3 lasted. But if these padded sections weren't in the game, and it was closer in length to U1-3 it would actually be a better game.
You know the funniest thing about the whole situation? Is there were more people talking about meltdowns in this review thread pre embargo than actual meltdowns. And the only "meltdowns" are people clearly faking it and trolling to try and put a bad name. It's actually been very civilised. You compare it to recent review threads for AAA releases like Quantum Break and it's actually very peaceful.
So...7?Seems Nathan Brown (EDGE) likes it as well.
Nah, it'll at least be a 9.You'd be lucky with a 8/10 from EDGE.
Since many are asking, @MichaelPHuber will be reviewing Uncharted 4, but we are currently still waiting on a review copy. -Blood

I don't think you understand the issue that people are having with IGN's review score process.
It is because the MC is at 94. Have a UC4 thread with a <80 MC, and things would be different. A less than 80 MC would mean substantially lower sales and could threaten the single player tps action adventure genre's very existence, or at least some would see it that way.
But 94? Why'd someone get upset when they won?...oh yeah, a 9/10 gtav score resulted in death threats. I guess maybe UC fans aren't as disturbed as GTA fans.

What made you lose interest in RoTR and QB though?
LMAO what the fuck! So Uncharted 4 is just as good as Alienation guys lol. a $20 indie game.
What I felt was incredibly tedious gunplay in RotTR and nothing from the narrative was pressing me to push forward.
I'm not sure what I was expecting out of QB and I may return to it but I bought it mostly as a fan of Remedy's Max Payne and Alan Wake. It's sorta a combination of those two series'. I'm even a fan of the time travel/bending trope but the narrative didn't really grab me with this one either.

Is this a real post?I swear, if IGN doesn't get their crap together and actually gives it sub-9 for the final score, I'm gonna flip.
Edge better come through with a 9 or 10, too.
That's if they value journalistic integrity whatsoever.
Naughty Dog did it again. Just wow. Best studio in the industry currently.
Gonna finish up the game today.
It's a bona-fide masterpiece so far.
Holy shit at what these developers can do. Take a bow, ND.
If these 10s keep coming in, I think the game will sit at a 95, even with IGN's 8.8, which is fucking absurd.
Even in DMC4 i loved back tracking, it is one of the things that MGS 1-3 did very good and if there is a little bit of it in U4 then i'm happy.
Backtracking can be really fun if done correctly.
You could have at least spoiler tagged the review. I knew coming into this thread was a mistake.Wait a min... from Jim's review:

Yes, really stupid criticism.
