She shrugged off a gunshot from Bucky in TWS, and it just slowed her down for a bit. Standard fare.

This does not compare to being flown through a wall by a flying brick and expecting someone not to be paste.

I'll agree that by and large, the balloon effect isn't really tackled in these films at all realistically, but that's action movies in general aside from The Hurt Locker and a few others.

Taking a bullet to the shoulder is not on the same level. That's a 5.56 round she was hit with. Painful but small. And she nearly died from blood loss. In CW
she was hit with a grenade in a small confined space that blew her clear out of the truck. She should have been unconscious at the very least, not running down a couple of thugs with expert parkour skill. Truthfully, she should have been paste all the same as the terrorist leader Superman grabbed.

I didn't really enjoy it, but I didn't hate it. I have no strong feelings one way or the other except that it had by far the weakest onscreen Lex Luthor.

OP's other posts came after people started telling him to "get his head checked" and shit like that, tho.

This is the same forum where gaming side folks say people who skip cutscenes have ADD.

I mean, this is part of the normal shit spouted off all the time.

I've also seen people on the Gaming side say people who watch cutscenes don't understand the point of games. All shapes...

considering he is being attacked for his opinion, yes

granted, nobody wins, but if I was being attacked for the same damn thing, I would get a bit heated too

Its a movie, and were on an internet forum.

Politics I can understand since that has real world consequences. But if you're getting hot under the collar from shit being said on threads like these where NOTHING is at stake but your own ego then you really need to reconsider posting.

This is my fear. That the over saturation of comic book movies will pull many away from comics. Also, the movies were a great way for creators to get some royalty checks. It would suck if that perk goes away.

Spielberg has a pretty decent interview about comic book over saturation and how the current climate in Hollywood almost made Lincoln an HBO movie. I personally can't wait for the superhero bubble to pop. But realistically we're still probably a few years away.

"In 2013, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas told an all-ears crowd that Hollywood should brace for an "implosion." Mega-sized blockbusters were too big and too common. Small movies, the kind that filled the gaps between our fluffier entertainment 20 years ago, had virtually disappeared. Spielberg said, in this era, even he had trouble selling more grounded film ideas to studios. His Oscar-winning drama Lincoln almost wound up as an HBO movie. In the minds of the two industry pioneers, there was no way the current model could sustain itself. "Three or four or maybe even a half-dozen mega-budget movies are going to go crashing into the ground, and that's going to change the paradigm," Spielberg said."

Again, I don't really agree for comic logic. By and large, explosions are fine because most of the time, if it's a hero, they get up fine. It's not realistic, but those other guys were dead.

I could complain the same way about the warehouse scene about someone being old enough where that much excitement and heat might given them a heart attack, etc; but it's sort of pointless. That's not really a part of the action to me.

Butt stuff?

Captain America playing touch butt with that dork in the park.

Oh please. People decided to insult the OP, so he clapped back. He had no obligation to try and have a nice and civil discussion after people insulted his intelligence over a movie.

Remaining civil when a lot of people are basically telling you you're a moron who shouldn't be taken seriously is one of the hardest things to do on the internet.

If you're applying comic logic than that man surviving what Superman did shouldn't be a stretch.

I think Iron Man is the better movie. Who's with me?

TDK shits on Iron Man.

Iron Man is insanely overrated. TDK is overrated in a few areas, too, but not nearly as much as Iron Man.

Batman Begins was the only good Batman movie in Nolan's trilogy. Fight me.

As much as I'd want to fight you in that I think the other Nolan movies are good, I can definitely see why someone might put Begins ahead of the others like that.

Superhero movies are the new action blockbuster flick.
DC/WB were smart to distinguish themselves from that, but they got too greedy and their integrity are in question. As long as the Marvel/Disney movies stay good and fun, they're not going anywhere.
Spielberg might have a valid point, but the truth is he has decided to release his films in the wrong era of movies. For every 10 Lincoln movies he puts out, there's only one Indiana Jones. And since "geek" culture controls the media, nostalgia action flicks trump all. Even Lucas is out of touch with his core audience. It's very hypocritical of him to open his mouth since he's cashing in.

TDK was good. It just wasn't a Batman movie. It was a Joker movie that Batman was in. TDKR was ridiculous almost the entire way through. I thought it was pretty bad. Like Iron Man 3 bad.

Heres a list of Bullshit that was in the BvS movie:

-The scene in Africa is stupid beyond belief. Why is Lois alive as a witness? Why does Superman get blamed for the deaths considering he doesn't need to use bullets?

-Lois and Clark bathtub scene. Did the conversation have to take place their?

-When Lex puts a toffee in the Senators mouth. Is this really Lex's attitude?

-The entire Useless Kryptonite chase sequence was embedded in the movie just for a 30 second confrontation between B and S?

-Lex starts killing his assistants now? (Mercy)

-Why would Batman leave his Batarang after stealing the Kryptonite

-Lex's access to the ship via a thin layer of epidermis is laughable.

-Lex's plan to persuade Superman to battle Batman was coincidently just when he kidnapped Martha?

-Superman cant use his X-ray vision to locate Martha?

-Lex gets his design team to associate logos to the justice league members. WUT. Also, unveiling the justice league members through email...in a movie? Really?

-During the Batman v Superman fight, Batman could have used his Kryptonite bullets/ spear to kill superman while he was stunned...but no.

-Lois throwing the spear and then retrieving it (WHAT?). and some how deducing that the spear kills Doomsday. How does she even know this considering she didn't even see Doomsday?

-Why the hell didn't Batman retrieve the spear (maybe using the Bat plane?) instead of luring Doomsday back to the original location?

-Also, as HISHE explained. Superman and Doomsday were in space. Why didn't he just throw that monstrosity into space?

-Lois being the Damsel in distress and Superman saving her.

-Lex being so obsessed with Superman's death he will forgo his own security by unleashing Doomsday in front of himself and Superman.

-Why the hell was the death of Superman even needed considering he is revived? Maybe this alleviates Batmans sadism by applying a no kill rule? Who the hell knows.

-Lastly...DING DING DING DING DING!

Some of the point as I have made could be explained. But most of them are borderline stupid. However, I liked Batmans realisation of both monsters sharing the name Martha.

Overall, I understand why some people like the movie. But calling it the best comic book movie ever made or comparing it to Marvels strongest offerings is foolish.

Also the Martha bit will be explained in a director's commentary. Basically he's overwhelmed by the cries for help so he drowns them out.

tbh though, I don't care for these head to head comparisons. Ranking movies is one thing as a way to quantify which movies you enjoyed the most but there's a disservice done with respect to the differences between each film when you compare them directly. It's far better to simply talk about each movie's specific strengths and weaknesses.

Batman Begins was the only good Batman movie in Nolan's trilogy. Fight me.

It at least remains consistent throughout while Act 3 of TDK takes a nosedive. The boat choice scene remains one of the dumbest attempts I have ever seen to make a movie "deeper", and I didn't really buy the Two Face arc. TDK's highs are higher though, particularly the opening and Joker interrogation scene.

Liam Neeson+ Cillian Murphy remain the most underrated villain combo.

The Last Crusade is better than Raiders of the Lost Ark brehs

First of all, let me get this out of the way. I definitely enjoy DC's stuff more than Marvel's because I grew up watching DC animated series. That said, I know quite a bit about Marvel also, so it's not like I'm completely clueless. I'm a pretty big Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Hulk fan, for what it's worth.

Now, Civil War isn't the best movie ever. It's isn't even the best comic book movie ever. But it is a damn good one, and outside of Nolan's Batman trilogy, I'd say this is leagues ahead of anything else out there. I'd go so far as to say that it might even be better than The Dark Knight Rises. Batman v Superman, on the other hand, is a mess. I was really excited for it, and I wanted to love it, and I do love some parts in it, but as an overall package, it's a below average movie that's made to look even worse after you've seen Civil War, since both of those films deal with similar themes, except Civil War does it vastly better.

I'd like to think I'm not prone to the usual internet hyperbole where it's either "Batman murdered Harvey Dent" or "Batman saved my boy". For me, Civil War is a good 8/10 film, which also happens to be a fantastic comic book film. Batman v Superman, well, it's below average in both departments, but it's definitely not the worst film ever made, or worse than Batman & Robin, as message boards would have you believe. Personally, I don't think Civil War does *literally* everything better than Batman v Superman, but overall, as a package, it is a far more pleasant experience. I'm actually going to see it again today.

If you liked Batman v Superman more than Civil War, that's fine. I know some from my university who did, and I don't judge them for it, because film is very subjective and personal, really. I know people who love Hardcore Henry, while I think it's dumpster fire. You like BvS? Don't worry about it, man. You're good.
