Does anyone understand how the adjacency effect actually works? At least that the tutorial just says that "some buildings may cause the adjacency effect to other buildings".

If you preordered it (any version) you should have it. Have you tried restarting Steam? For those that didn't preorder it you'll be able to get it as DLC at some point (just an assumption since they did that with Europa Universalis)

From watchin Quill its gives a plus one to one all tiles around it on the 4 sides.
1 food/mineral I know for sure. I think the last one is energy?

You can get influence by certain techs, certain government actions and by rivaling other empires. As a pacifist the latter is reduced a bit, though. And right now the only victory conditions are ruling every other empire or owning 40% of the planets in the galaxy, so I guess the latter probably? I dunno, that's not traditionally been the point of Paradox games.

Your planetary capital gives +1 food/energy/minerals to the 4 tiles surrounding it that are producing that resource. There should be arrows on the tiles around it. If it's a brand new planet you won't have that though as you need 5 pops and an upgraded capital to become eligible.

Interesting. Your Survey scan color is Green. Are your ships trails green as well? I notice that color is in your emblem.

I have Blue in mine and all of my trails are blue and survey scanner is blue as well.

You are still able to wage war. As a true pacifist, you will agree that those militaristic slavers need to get stopped for the greater good

Enjoying the game, my first Grand Strategy game I'm really trying out.

Yeah. It's probably because I got it from cdkeys.

I don't mind paying for it (and even upgrading to a higher edition) if the option becomes available later.

Yeah, minerals is pretty important early game. My scientist did find a planet that gave nine minerals, so I was super happy about that.

Mining is definitely key. You need minerals for every piece you want to build. So minerals first and only enough energy to be positive.

Energy maintains your fleet, outposts etc, hover over it and it'll tell you what's using it.

Colonising uses 7 energy per month IIRC.

Alt+TAB - GPU utilization 99%, CPU 50%

I recommend using Borderless Windowed Mode, it seems to be fine GPU 17% CPU 15% all around.

Pheeew this game eats time. I started playing and 3 hours just vanished somewhere. My empire is constantly energy starved. I really need to focus on energy research as they pop up..

I haven't experienced any stuttering yet, when is it happening? I get a slight pause when it autosaves, but that's all.
