5/10 - "Not Jak 4"

1/10 - "Sonys Uncharted 4 is the next the order 1886 with a bad story bad gameplay only good thing about this game is the graphics for being a 1080P 30fps game this game trys so hard to be like rise of the tomb raider but fails..."

0/10 - "... Graphics are ok, but you would expect that at 30fps.. but they are not mindblowing.. weak hardware isnt going to change that, however some of the animations are just awful!"

why are you so concerned about its metacritic anyway

you cant even use the "just something to til the game comes out" bored excuse, cuz the game is out now
 
I'm not a fan of any of the previous Uncharted games as I found them very limited and over rated. I haven't seen this game although I couldn't care less about graphics tbh, I've always thought people overrated these games purely because of the technical feats achieved by ND.
 
Chapter 18 right now, got the game a day early...
I know, opinions and all that, but anything less than a 9,0 for this game is just weird to me. What else could you possibly want? I haven't even finished it yet, and I'm loving every second! Constantly in awe of what ND has done here - I can't even begin to imagine how hard this must've been to create...

Are you just going to ignore the many impressions and reviews we've had so far praising the gameplay, especially the gunplay?

Inching up to 95 score, number 63 all time. I guess it will get pulled down again but only 10 spots away from beating the Last of US on Metacritic. Pretty remarkable even if it doesn't succeed to do so since how hard they grade these type of linear games this gen.
 
So is there anything else this year that could even contest UC4 at this point?

I suspected QB would come close but not beat it but i was sorely wrong there, Persona later in the year is only the Japanese release so doubt it will count. Ueda and the remnants of Team Ico might be the only ones that I could guess would have a shot of beating ND at this point for best reviewed game.

Yeah, Persona 5 and TLG are the best bets. But even them I dont think so. Too niche, especially P5.

That's sad, I hope that they are at least kids, cause if adults participate in such pathetic fanboy wars they need to take a deep look into their life, trying to figure out what went wrong.

you should check what those same users also reviewed. A lot of starfox fans that gave it a 10 calling it a perfect game lol.
 
So having skimmed this thread of what seems to be considered a great game by many what seems to be of most concern is individuals commenting negatively or giving slightly less glowing reviews than people would like. This is of course is the most fun in review threads , especially console exclusive ones.

Review scores are subjective and everyone has opinions but its not always wrong to query them, anyone who believes that many sites and podcasts don't have agendas are fools. Leave people alone for having opinions which you don't agree but if theres a pattern to a site or podcast query it. Having listened to hundreds of hours of podcasts and read games sites for years some are just better at it than others .

Maybe FFXV? Though I think it may go to the bad side of the scores lol mainly because of all the wait and hype after all these years of waiting.
 
Don't sleep on TLG. I mean it will no doubt be smaller in scope. But Journey did win over a lot of people. There's more ways to woo the gaming press as UC4 is proving, I think we are in a time where great storytelling will get highly praised.

Checked the Amazon page, lots of trolls giving it 1 star there as well, I don't mind if someone is very disappointed or expected much more (he is in a miniority but every game has them no matter how good it is) but no way that a true Uncharted fan will give it a 1, here is a typical profile of those guys:

User reviews should be not be a thing on metacritic, a like dislike bar might be better with an optional written review.

Just checked metacritic. It's 4 games away from the 95 titles. At 84 reviews it would take quite a few review scores below the average to make a dent in that 94.

Can't wait to get home and play the highest reviewed game of this generation :p

People that can't play the game are indeed salty, that's their way of dealing with it, by telling themselves it's shit, that they don't miss anything and trolling MC and Amazon user reviews, sad like I said.

Sounds like the 94 is locked regardless of the IGN and (the probably great) EDGE reviews, cool :)
