Thanks feller, it seems to have gone OK I'm happy with what's happened but I won't feel completely happy until I know the refund has through and I can see the game has been removed.
When they agreed to the refund I heard THIS SOUND on the phone.

It's not so much an issue of him playing it soon but more of whether or not he has any time to review it after finishing.
He has like 9 games he wants to review this month. He's already resorting to mini reviews for games like Battleborn.

Gonna need that Edge 10 to balance that IGN score if it going to finish at 95. I'll be content as long as it doesn't drop below a 94 though. Yes I care that it stays the highest rate game of the generation...so what?!

I wasn't implying that the score changing by a point or two would affect my thoughts on the game. That would be silly.

Do you like a sport team? if so I can say it's pathetic or irrational just as well, I can even say "even if the team lose it shouldn't change what you think about them so who cares?" just like you say about the game's score.
He wants the game or (ND in general) to be a success, critically and commercially, just like someone else wants a team he loves or a player he likes to be successful, it's just as rational.
If this doesn't count as a success, i don't know what does.
Yea, right now his team is ranked the highest, he just wants it to stay like that, not to share the first place with that MGS5 douche...

Solid review except for the overly-pretentious last paragraph. Surprised he was bothered by the ratio of gunplay to introspection as I thought the game relied on the latter more than the former. Though he is right that the gunplay goes on for way too long in the last act.

I appreciated this review - did a nice job of articulating some of my thoughts about the weird tension between "gaming masterpiece" and genre pulp that this series uneasily inhabits.
It also makes me more interested in trying out this game (still on the fence), as I'd rather read Treasure Island than watch National Treasure.

Damn I could not fine it for the life of me lol,thanks.
Granted I'm in the final third and haven't beaten it yet but the criticism that the game's shoot outs are too long is very odd. I'm thinking a lot of people will rag on the game for the actual gun play being far too brief and sporadic.
