Home sick from work and didn't know this had come out. Turned on my ps4 and there it was waiting for me. Not a bad day to call out...

Solid review except for the overly-pretentious last paragraph. Surprised he was bothered by the ratio of gunplay to introspection as I thought the game relied on the latter more than the former. Though he is right that
the gunplay goes on for way too long in the last act
.

Come on, do we really need spoilers in the review thread? Ok, so maybe "spoiler" is pushing it, but your last sentence here is telling more than I wanted to know. Now I know what to expect gameplay-wise from the last part of the game, and that kinda sucks.

Scores are mighty impressive. I have the first 3 games, but have only competed the first and got about 3/4 of the way through 2. I want to finish 2 & 3 before I snag 4. Game looks amazing!

They have the lead designer of quests structure from The Witcher on the team if I am not mistaken
Oh yeah I heard that. I hope Horizon turns out as good as UC4. Very different ways of course of storytelling, but they can learn from ND attention to detail.

Sony might just make up for the slow start of high quality stuff from first party. I'm just fine with all the delays if everything turns out as good as Uncharted

It's almost as if there's a difference of opinion. ;)
of course

except the way i see it when a reviewer makes a score under the name of an outlet, that outlet should have its own scale...reviewers under that name should be considerate of that even though it's their own review. it should be their score, on the outlet's scale. anyways, i digress.
It says uncharted 4 shows great improvement in every area of the game and it is a fitting conclusion to our favourite adventurer / protagonist.

:)
cool, thanks...i don't doubt it!

man I wish Salim was in this game. We don't have enough cool fictional brown or Arab characters in fiction, let alone video games.

Hi all i just stumbled over this here : http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Uncharted-4-A-Thiefs-End-Spiel-55094/News/Auch-technisch-ein-Meisterwerk-1194924/

It is a german PCHardware Site. And apperantly the Autor of this Text is somewhat biased. As he wrotes:

Der Einsatz von Physik in der gesamten Welt lässt den Titel genügend realistisch wirken.
~ Translation:

,,The use of Physics in the whole Worldsystem let the Titel appear sufficient realistic."

- Wow we all know there is no Titel at all who uses more Physics, even on PC.

and further:

Insbesondere die Charaktere bewegen sich auf einem Niveau, das man sonst nur von PCs kennt.

~Translation

"Especially the Characters are moving on a Level that otherwise is only known from PC Titels"

- Yeah of Course, make it look like all PC Games are ALLWAYS better in that Respect,
iam pretty shure alot of Console Games in the Past surpased the PC in that matter their Time. Heavy Rain, Quantum Break, God of War and the Last of Us just to mention a few.

and more:

All die grafische Finesse hat ihren Preis: 30 Fps und manchmal auch etwas weniger.

~ Translation

"all that graphical Finesse has its Price : 30fps and sometimes a little less"

-Uncharted 4 bekame known as one of the steadyst 30fps Titel ever. With the whole campaign only dropping like 5 Times or so under that and then only to a 29fps or so. So to use the Word sometimes dont give the game the Credit it earns. and the Phrase ,,very rarely" would be much more fitting...

I find even as a PCHardware Editor you should be able tribiute a Console Titel as it earns it.

Instead he chose to write a moderatly positive technical Review seasond with 3 to 4 Examples of Ignorance and \or Disrespect to Console Gaming..

Sonys got a really good batting average this year, both new and old.

Gravity Rush: Remastered, Alienation, R&C and UC4. All fantastic.

Yep just let them take their time.

I called in sick too. Unfortunately it was yesterday and not today.

Also, these "new" reviewers need to stop bringing down the ratings, I had predicted a 94!

Was so hyped for this game and it's still meeting all my expectations..... well really going far beyond them........

Just remarkable.

I honestly don't think I can say any other game has exceeded my expectations so greatly even when they were already so high.

If nothing else ND is consistent. This is why Sony let's then do their thing at their pace. It's amazing sometimes thinking the time they spent making these amazing games and actually deliver compared to other companies that take longer and end up with less quality (looking at you Bethesda).

Yeah, I imagine it is very easy for Sony to manage ND.

Sony - "So yeah, just make whatever you want. It just has to be AAA."

ND - "K."

There is always a chance of some site giving it a 0/10 :P

I think it is locked at 94. Even if Edge somehow gives in a 7, it's not going to matter. If a trolling site gives it a 0/10 for clicks, it not going to matter because their review holds little weight.
