I really don't get all the "I want a Neo version" if the game is getting delayed after all that it means that it's in a clusterfuck state and needs fixing for PS4/Xbone. In that time you really think SE alongside fixing the game will make a good Neo version? It will be a barebones Neo mode at best and not something people actually want from the Neo version.

All I can do is laugh at this point. SE essentially threw a party just to hype up the release date. This game ever since it's re-reveal, has been a series of compromises, so I'm not surprised they'd pull something like this.

If the delay is true I'm predicting that XV will ultimately go to the current XII HD release window even if SE will say the game will come out in this year.

Assuming Neo is 3x more powerful than the PS4, it should be pretty trivial to make it run at a solid 30fps. I don't want any graphical upgrades and stuff for now but just a good frame rate.
The problem then is Mass Effect which may totally steal XV thunder.
Game already got stable framerate from recent showings. Most people want much better IQ and I don't think they'll get that in just 2 months with SE frantically trying to fix the game unless my prediction is right and where really looking at 6+ month delay...

Exactly. Neo version meaning a steady 30fps is enough for me to get a Neo. I assume a FFXV + Neo bundle would be a given if that's the case, giving somewhat of a good synergy for both products so that would kinda make sense from a commercial perspective.

Well by all accounts. And any "delay" can be attributed to it being made to use SE's proprietary engine for the first 2 years of its development and Osaka team working on a console game for the first time since a PS2 remake (Re:CoM).

Is that really surprising? Final Fantasy games are usually strong single player experiences. Why would the majority care about an MMO? Different audience.
Painfully true. Maybe we'll hear more about it when FFXV is finally realeased though.
I'm not convinced we shall see. I can bet anyone now that VII remake won't come out next year at best we'll get a demo.

They had to restart development in late 2014 for an engine change. Since then we got actual in-game footage and world confirmations, as well as the prologue to KH3 coming out this December.

September 30th was a sweet spot. Late November isn't really a sweet spot and they wouldn't be delaying it just because. If the game needs extra time then it needs extra time.

That's what gamescom trailer will be about. Another name change XD Game's delayed to ff16 and another ff is announced that is named ff15 and planed to be released in 2018 XD
I will bet Part 1 comes out next year in October-December. That would be almost 4 years of development and I don't think there will be any demo for it.

Take your physical copies, delete the day one patches from them, and see how fucked all those games were even after they went gold. Even a couple of weeks can make a huge difference.
