Tekken 7 4K PC Gameplay

These are captures from YouTube video. Every single publisher and their mothers should re-encode/resample their videos and trailers at 4K@60fps, whether they're running at that resolution or not. If they're interested in showing their $100 million productions in the best light possible, that is. The upgrade in bitrate and video quality is absolutely massive.
Sweet

I don't see how people can say this looks bad graphically. It's the most graphically impressive fighting game period, Killer Instinct is in that wheelhouse as well.

People think I'm retarded when I say KI is the best looking fighter (outside of anime looking shit like Guilty Gear)

I much prefer killer instincts art and graphics, but IQ is really impressive here. I got some buddies that are drooling, waiting for this to drop. Looks like they will be very happy.

This doesn't even look better than Soul Calibur 4/5 on the PS3. Especially if those could be rendered at 4k.

But it's Tekken on PC I guess?

I read the thread title as "Tekken 74K PC Gameplay" at first and was thoroughly confused for a second there.

Anyway, nice looking fighter but I wish someone stepped in and made a fighting game that looks almost photorrealistic.

Maybe Virtua Fighter 6 could be that.

I don't get this as an end goal, photo-realism looks boring as hell.

I like Tekken but even if it avoids all the pitfalls SFV fell into, it will still always play second fiddle at tournaments and probably in sales as well, definitely in popularity.

Tekken has historically had better sales than most Streetfighter games, and outperforms it at the arcades.

It just isn't as popular in america.

I wish ZeroX03 would post the uncompressed footage that he recorded for T7.0, people might get an idea how much Youtube butchers the quality of the video it hosts.

Wait, how was SFV on PC a cluster-fuck? Is it about the drivers & binding keys?

Either way, Tekken 7 looks amazing. Hopefully I won't need to break the bank for decent performance.

Complete= nuff said.
Netcode, servers, performance, lack of content, ragequitting like a boss without penalty, have u seen all those plat ultra plat etc? If Capcom would hear us they would reset that rank, it's just unfair!
Also those 2 you mentioned, I think I might've forgotten smth else probably.
What I mentioned has ben talked over n over.

I don't think you will have a problem there. Pretty sure this game will likely be 1080 60 on PS4 anyways.
Fingers crossed. I've never played a Namco PC port, so I don't know what to expect in terms of optimization. It'll delay a need to upgrade my PC for another while (2500K for liiiife).

Why should that matter to me? I'm not a tournament player. The game being unpopular wouldn't prevent my enjoyment unless the playerbase is utterly nonexistent

I am not confident in PC versions so will wait a while and see what's what before purchasing T7, will see how it plays out on PC.

Always the smart move.

That quality, colors and lighting brehs.

Mainline Tekken sells better than sf

And on that note why should you care, mk and smash also sell better. Heck tekken 7 it already made more money in arcades. Enjoy your game.

What the fgc chooses to focus on is never the popular opinion.like what you like

Just wondering, is there any chance the PC could do a 120fps mode? I'm guessing the technology is already there for the slowdown feature, and presumably if PCs can render 4k it could do 1080p120.

Looks gorgeous.

Any chance for 21:9 ultra widescreen support? I don't expect or want to use the extra space for gameplay, just would be nice aesthetically if the background extended to 21:9.

It would be up to the developers to implement that, but since fighters are designed for 60fps I wouldn't hold my breath.

There is some precedence for it -- people messing around with SSBM have come up with patches that allow the game to play at 120fps with the correct speed and frame data. They do this by basically having the game run at half speed internally (the game has support for this to support the speed adjustment options in training mode) and then by having the game update at 120hz instead of 60hz. This more or less "works" but it originally resulted in some weird side effects, which have to be addressed separately. (Which is pretty common for people hacking out 30hz caps in PC games -- see all the silliness that happened with early patches for Tales of Zesteria, or the original release of Valkryia Chronicles on PC.)

Now whether doing that and spending the development time and money to implement and QA that is worth is a whole another question, but since they've already built in time dilatation support, it's certainly possible. Even if they don't do it officially, someone could probably hack it in in a similar manner (but who knows what oddities would then come up).

game logic is tied to frame rate so no

edit: just saw post above me. that's...interesting.

What i like the most about the graphics now on this new gen tekken is that the sparks (hit effects) look like they have volume to them now. They dont just look like a 2d effect made of colored paper.

I'd have to see this in person. On my phone it doesn't look like the leap I would've expected from a new Tekken using today's hardware.
