Mass Effect 2/3 now Backward Compatible on Xbox One

Seems super weird that EA Access members get it digitally but it's not on the 360 store digitally. So strange.

I'm. It a huge Mass Effect guy (only own the original) but it's fucking great that BC means owns an entire franchise on one console (theoretically forever).

Very happy about this. I played part way through Mass Effect on Xbox One last year but not knowing whether 2 and 3 would arrive due to the multidisc issue made me abandon it.

Now I can resume that progress and my only hope is that the Mass Effect 3 dlc goes on sale before I finish ME2.

Digital versions through EA access is just the cherry on top. Thanks Backwards Compatibility wizards. (And EA / Bioware)

Can't find some of the weapons/Kasumi DLC for ME2 in the store. Anyone else?

Edit: Nvm. Found it in the ready to install for ME2.

Was thinking of buying 2 and 3 next week, but now I might just get EA access for a month and ser how it goes.

Do I need Gold for EA access? My sub just run out last week.

Check your console dashboard. I logged in yesterday and saw an offer of $1 for 1 month of Gold (my sub expired two weeks ago) so I signed up for that.

I did a playthrough on the xbox One of ME1. Im trying to import him into ME2 but it isnt finding anny save. What do I have to do?

So jealous! I still have my PS3 so I can keep picking my way through ME2 now and then, but man... I feel BC is something PS4 owners will always be salty about.

Can you buy it from EA Access (if you're a member), or is it only whilst you're subscribed?

And if you can buy it... how does that work for downloading? is it in the games ready to download, or do you have to access it through your EA Access account?

All the people so sure the game now runs better than when BC started, just booted it up and oh dear it runs absolutely terribly. No thank you.

Sunk so much time into ME3 multiplayer, can't wait to get back to it. Downloading now.

MS is killing it when it comes to the feature set on the Xbox One and EA Access has been a tremendous value (though Titanfall 2 being exempt was bullshit) .

I'm happy for BC and I'm not about to shut up in asking for a great remaster of the trilogy with all DLC included.

Welp, this convinced me to get EA Access so I don't need to deal with disc swapping.

A remaster of the trilogy isn't off the tables.
I really don't like remasters that just up the res and (if that) the framerate. If that's all you are going to do I'd better have the game on bc.

Otherwise, having a makeover and Bc is the best scenario. Basically the Gears of war ultimate scenario. A great remaster that remade the entire graphics, and didn't prevented the first Gow from showing up on BC.

I transferred all my saves to the cloud, but in order to get 3 to see my completed 2 save, I had to install that and boot that up. To be sure, I went to the load save screen and looked at all my careers.

It's a little wonky, but at least that still works and let me import a character into 3. Now I can actually play this game.

Downloaded all of the DLC and transferred my saves to the cloud.

Excited to play it, as I never got around to the DLC for whatever reason.

Get off in about 8 hours.

Woot.

Never played any of the ME games. I love story-driven shooters, but the RPG elements put me off.

You will love this, ME1 is RPG more so than shooter, but ME2 and ME3 are shooter much more so than RPG.

You'll be all good, it's an amazing experience: enjoy!

It definitely runs better than it did before. You're not going to get some magic massive upgrade just because it runs on Xbox One. There are slight boosts to performance here and there, just like any bc title.

The original game chugged constantly haha. I've gotten about an hour into the game so far and I haven't hit a framerate plummet so I'd say that there's a big enough difference already.

Great to hear, man.....it's going to be nigh on impossible to stop myself kicking off another trilogy run with BC avail, sorry Gears/Geralt....you might need to take the backseat for a bit guys!

Don't worry about it, the RPG elements aren't fairly heavy in the first game and they only get reduced in the sequels.

Don't worry about it. It's Gears of war with less bald space marines and a fucked up dialogue system.

It's hard to complain for free! Thanks, I'll give it a go.
