How far in are each of Vulpix, Wimpod, Salandit and Jangmo-o?

Near the start of the second island now and my Dartrix + Pikachu team could use some more variety.
 
This game is linear but there are some hidden things. I never even went to Ten Carat Hill until just now. So that's where Rockruff is. Also there is this big mall in Haoli City with a stage show, the Battle Buffet, starter move tutors, a super expensive clothing shop, and a place to buy legendary Pokemon orb items. Was this always open or did I just totally miss it?

It opens after the grand trial of the island IIRC.

They Day and night forms can be found in both versions. It is the evolution to it that is version specific.

That is neat. The moves however do seem to be hardcoded so it is probably only one egg move. This is some fairly raw data on the Island scan Pokemon (spoilers as it has all you can find via the feature).

if it's in the same spot as sandshrew is in moon, mid-late island 3

basically the end of the game

i saw it but never caught it because it's like some weird gimmick run across the ground thing.
 
Just finished the main game. Absolutely loved it, might beat our RSE as my favorite game.

Lillie is secretly the best character in the entire series. Starts put really annoying but her character growth is amazing. Something we haven't seen in a Pokemon game before

The game suggest Ten Carat Hill a fair number of times during the first island.

I've spent more than one hour there (and one hour in the meadow) to find a Psyduck, without success. Is there a trick?

Ula Ula is 3rd, Poni, is 4th.
 
Day 1 island scan = Litwick
Day 2 island scan = Cyndaquil

I love getting these rare pokes but I wish they would stop giving me fire types since I started with Litten...

Are you playing Moon? Because the mall is closed at night. That happened to me too.
 
The PokéRide music is really starting to get on my nerves. I just got Stoutland, and this universal song does not fit at all. If it was just played with Tauros, I'd be okay with it. But this song is worse than Bike music. I'd much rather listen to the nice City and Route music. Going off-screen and returning works like in previous games, but I hate having to do it everytime.

You also have to hold B to have Stoutland search for items. It's not always on like the Itemfinder was. And he is so slow when searching.

So far though, I'd say those are my only real complaints. Everything else is wonderful.

Yeah the one thing I'd complain about PokeRide is that. Tauros and Stoutland aren't the best replacements for the bike and item finder. I dislike that holding B is the only way to go faster with Tauros.
 
Okay they realllly need to change the old pokemon sounds. It's like an iPhone 7 with old Nokia ringtones.

At one moment O was fighting level 13 trainers with a party full of level 22 when I had exp. share on.

Yeah well I didn't listen! The game definitely doesn't force you to go there, opposed to other areas where the game makes you go there for basically no reason.

Yeah I'm playing Moon. I really just went to Haoli City to get the Surfing Pikachu shirt DrKirby mentioned and noticed it.

On the third island now, game is opening up a bit more. I can actually go to more than one route. Also what's the point of the new Sushi High Roller? I just get Heart Scales if I buy dishes. Do battles open up later on like the Kalos version?
 
Getting that mareanie paid off. It allowed me to cheese Olivia since I just laid down toxic spikes and healed thru everything until her Pokemon were done

Still first island but I find the game quite difficult even with exp share on. Maybe because i'm still very early.

I've been turning exp share off and on. If I can't beat one of the trials, I'll turn it on because I'm not going to waste my time grinding levels for every Pokemon.
 
Almost endgame spoilers

I don't know why, but I absolutely love that the "victory road" actually leads to the plot ending instead of the Pokemon League. That just clicks right with me.

Machamp ride is hilarious.

I love your character growth, Lillie but stop making that dumb pose.
 
I went complete media blackout for XY and I'm definitely feeling regret from watching all the trailers and looking at the leaked Pokemon this time around.

Media blackout for gen 8 for sure.
 
Island Scan doing a route you can't reach and timing it for an hour is so dumb. I reached the Trial after an hour of exploring around and had like 2 mins left and the route was blocked off because I haven't done the trial yet. So dumb.
 
Does anyone have an Adamant Synchronize Abra they'd be willing to part with? I'm trying to catch my own, but I'm not far enough into the game to buy Quick Balls yet, so they keep breaking out and teleporting away. :/
 
Mass egg hatching is incredibly fast and easy now. Especially now that you can receive a new egg and send one of your newly hatched Pokémon to the PC on the spot. Combine that with Tauros and something with Flame Body and you've got a baby factory.

So many Rowlets...

It is for Butterfree. He's such a good early game Pokemon and his various powders helped me catch legendaries back in the day before they just gave them to you. I wish he got an Alolan form. Maybe in Stars...

Also I gotta take the bus to the top of this mountain? Red never took a bus. If he wanted to get to the top of the mountain he WALKED.
