What if Groot and Rocket were both "one character" per se? Think of it kind of like Ferra/Torr from MKX. They could modify Rocket's move set to have Groot accompany him in battle? Like instead of the log trap, Groot could grow his arm out across the screen lol. I'm sorry if this idea sucks, it's just something I've been thinking about in my excitement (despite my doubting of the rumor).

Yeah, I was about to say, take a page from SvC Chaos and include him. Only problem would be implementing Midnight Bliss. Aside from the problem of implementing it in 3D there's the whole "transformation" aspect Marvel wouldn't be comfortable with. On the other hand, games like Project X-Zone shows they can have him in a game WITHOUT Midnight Bliss and come out okay.

Just reminder Iron Galaxy did all the work for MvC Origins, Darkstalkers Resurrection and 3S Online. I can see Capcom going to them to make something like a PS4 version of MvC3
