Man, TiTS SC isn't going to go below $19.49 is it? MIght as well pull the trigger along with some other games on my wishlist.

So, I'm planning to gift a game to a friend who likes open world games. I was thinking on GTA V of course, but then I realized Watch_Dogs 2 is a lot more recent, and I've heard a lot of good things about it, unlike the first one, and it seems to have an small discount. Which one would you recommend, guys? Thanks!

This topic went flying while I got distracted... GTA V, if they've never played after all this time, is a better game.

ftfy, but worry not, Nihon Falcom games not only are better but some of them are on steam too!

speaking of which, everyone should get this^

Tales of series tier

This is for me, the best sale in years. It's also the sale in which I have less money to spend. Ugh.

But I still might get a game or two, The House in Fata Morgana and Owlboy are cheap enough I guess.

It is a nice game! Lots of replay value from taking all of the paths you didn't take earlier, but ultimately kinda forgettable (I forgot enough about it to make this summary kind of pointless). It is going to be free on plus soon if you own a PS4.

how long is a single playthrough fi you dont care about replaying gmes

Hm. Guess I could have made it free-for-all. Maybe it's better if people who really want a particular title get a better chance of getting it, though. I can't remember, after it ends does it become FCFS or do the keys have to be relisted?

EDIT: duh, says right in the instructions.

IIRC it'll become first come first serve, but people will still be limited to winning one of the raffle keys. You should have pretty good coverage regardless, there are a lot of eyes on this thread.

What are some good online co-op games?

My buddies and I are scattered all across the country so we're always trying to find new games to play. We've gotten our competitve fix with stuff like Overwatch and various MOBAs but now we're just looking for something we can co-op in.

Big, meaty games that we can take our time with like Divinity or Borderlands are ideal. Also 4 or more players is preferable

Killing Floor 2, Vermintide, or The Division are pretty fun.

Dying light is amazing, and the whole campaign can be played in 1-4 player drop-in/drop-out with any host's story file. It's super excellent. After I beat the game I spent another 20 hours probably just goofing around with randoms.

For something a little different, Starbound is fun too. It's like Terraria or 2D Minecraft.

Ok I think I'm mostly done. Just got a couple smaller games (ori, kofxiii). Will get doom from gmg and maybe MKX from nuveem.

Sweet, I can get that new Age of Empires expansion for $7.19 through bundle savings. :D I was just expecting a 10% discount or something.

Here's a TIS-100 code I had lying around.

I just got my $600 lenovo laptop from Black Friday, so it's the first time in 7 years I can actually play decently modern PC games. Fukken HYPE

The game combat system is very similar to the Batman's ones, so take it into consideration.

is that supposed to be a negative?

also added all the final fantasy games im missing to the cart... 44.70€ >_>

methinks not

The Steam winter sale sure went from being a festive once-a-year calendar-ish extravaganza to sorta unceremoniously dropping a sale that lasts a week. There isn't even any festive artwork any more. :(

What was the name of that 2d side scroller where you play as a pig/warthog? Came out a year or 2 back. I never hear of it, so probably didn't turn out amazing.

Yeah... pretty disappointing.

yeah the lack of effort in the artwork hurts me the most. WE WANT THE MASCOTS VALVE, GIVE US THE MASCOTS

How is Momodora: reverie under the moonlight? Is it piss easy like the new Shantae? I can't get into piss easy games at the moment. Does Momodora offer some challenge?

actually the skulls in the background are quite relevant. It signifies that sales are dead :3

To people who asked if they should get Xanadu Next - yes, you should :p

As for myself, i'm not sure if i'm buying anything at all this sale. I already have a pretty big backlog as is, and i'm also currently in two closed betas. Not to mention that i'll probably need all the money i can get for recently announced Gust titles coming to steam in february-march, and Koei Tecmo's prices are to be reckoned with.

I might get some of the older classics that i don't own yet on steam, like Heretic, Hexen, Gothic etc. that won't eat through my steam wallet too much, but i'll make that decision closer to the end of the sale.

It does. It's not hardcore but above average challenging. Great game, go buy it.
