Nintendo Switch is out in less than two weeks. Where's all the info?

I probably missed this info but...

After the Switch presentation in January, we were granted with how the console works and what extra features it has from the initial reveal. There were showcases of some games coming at launch and some time later in the future.

But where's the other info? How is the online going to work? Is there online at launch? What will it cost? What's the final launch lineup? How's the account system for online going to work? What about launch dates for games coming out in the near future after the Switch is out? What about virtual console Streetpass? Does 1-2 Switch have a single player mode of some kind? Would eShop cards work with the Switch market?

I'm forgetting a ton of other questions as well (and I'm sure a lot of it are answerable)

We didn't even get a showcase of the Switch UI or even how games would interact with the Switch OS. At least not in video form on their YouTube channel.

The information I'm getting is mostly from their YouTube channel and now their website.

Some of the games on Nintendo's website doesn't even have a price like I Am Setsuna and that's supposedly coming out at launch.

What's going on here?

EDIT: thanks for the heads up everyone! I figured a lot of those had answers to them but still, the messaging has been pretty barebones judging by the other responses in this thread.

We all wanna know too.

Press embargo on impressions on the system ends tomorrow. But I don't think online is even up yet for THEM.

We likely won't know til they flip the switch sometime next week. Weird it's all still a mystery.

They announced the online service would be properly launching later this year (the paid one at least). I think it's safe to assume mario kart and splatoon will just work like wii u ones did.

Feels like a dead horse. Do we need a thread asking this every week?

We all want to know more. We will soon.

Nintendo is going on. I don't believe we had much more info on the Wii or Wii U when they launched either.

Doesn't matter. First shipment is sold through. You'll have your info for the next shipment when the system is out in the wild.

Getting info on this hardware / system is like traveling on Nintendo's rainbow. You dont know whats gonna be in the pot at the other end

I'm 99% positive they are going to let the press go through the system and features because of how hard they dropped the ball in January.

Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
Yeah, the silence is really aggravating. Surely, the Big Sight event can't be it?

To be fair, the closer the launch gets without the info that it should be obvious for them to detail, the more reasonable the question gets. We all assume a Direct is coming, but they also haven't announced it.

That being said, maaaan the Zelda commercials I'm seeing online that double as a platform ad are well made.

This first batch of consoles isn't for people who care what the online is going to be like. I'm including myself in that. I have other systems to play online games and I want Nintendo games and this is where they are. This is for enthusiasts and fanboys. They won't need a comprehensive pitch until the holidays.

Doesn't really matter, does it? How long after it launches will they restock inventory? Right now, everybody whose buying it up until they restock has already bought it. There's no more pre-orders available in most countries.

It would be nice if they'd give us more info, but there's no real incentive for them to until we get our hands on it ourselves.

Nintendo is the Willy Wonka of gaming. There are always secrets, mysteries and bizarre practices, but the candy is always damn good.

This is true-- are there even online games at launch? I imagine before say Mario Kart comes out that they'll touch on it. All I need out of the gate is an eshop. Though there are other questions I still have, like what the hell is up with the Virtual Console for example.

Zelda is a good enough launch title for me, but I'd really like at least a small selection of VC games to try out with the tablet and the various control schemes.

I mean, maybe 3 weeks is far but we're in the single digits remaining until the Switch launch and the less of a chance a random Nintendo Direct will pop up to give more info about it.

Weeks ago there are those who were confident that there would be a weekly Direct leading to the Switch launch. There is none.

This new Nintendo don't care. Preorders have been sold. They already got your money. They can just let people figure out the Switch by themselves at launch.

People hating on OP asking questions think it's a joke until Friday morning when we wake up and still don't know shit. Hopefully this thread catches someone's eye and we can get some answers. If Nintendo really doesn't step up I'll be severely disappointed.

I'd say a Direct, but it's getting less likely we'll have one before launch. Reviewers and website updates will probably be the main deal.

When is Snipperclips out?

March is all we know at the moment. So presumably not on 3/3 but hopefully not too far out from launch as I'm looking forward to enjoying it with my other half. It seems the perfect gamer/not as much a gamer partner outreach title for a new system.

Super Bomberman R has online play. Just Dance 2017 also has access to its online library streaming service from day 1 (allegedly), though that's not the same thing.

There's answers to almost all the questions you asked, OP. I agree that the information has been doled out in a very messy way, though.
