Nintendo Switch is out in less than two weeks. Where's all the info?

Fucking 300$ for an underpowered system with no games.

Just like ps4 on launch? PC already was way ahead when that released. And PS4 got good after Bloodborne and other first party games started coming out, launch was terrible.

Now let me make one thing clear the Switch launch is not good at all and is pretty bad if you don't like Zelda. But near holidays there will be quite a bit of good games already for a first year of a gaming hardwares lifespan.

And indeed the ps4 has only recently become worth getting

BotW looks great, but the wiiu also got it

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Sure it is. The 3DS had Mario Kart, Metal Gear Solid, Zelda, Mario 3DS (known as Mario 3D Land now), Star Fox 64, Resident Evil, Kid Icarus, Paper Mario, Professor Layton, and some other ones I'm probably forgetting announced at launch.

Some of those were expected the same year as the 3DS and the system still experienced a drought. The Switch in comparison, doesn't seem to have much. And the 3DS launch had a better launch lineup than Switch so far from what it looks like (other than Zelda of course)

Also, thanks for the heads up everyone! I figured a lot of those had answers to them but still, the messaging has been pretty barebones judging by the other responses in this thread.
those games were announced but that doesnt mean they were gonna come out on 3ds so soon, thats the difference, thats what every console does and fails, we actually have concrete info of these games coming out this year with xenobldade 2 being the only nebulous one due to past examples

Unless you're a loyal Nintendo consumer and played MarioKart 8 to death, then you're looking at a post-Zelda drought of 3 months, at least.

I'll be buying a Switch at launch, but I've no interest in ARMS, that Musuo Fire Emblem game, or Spl2n.

And I love the Xeboblade series, but there's no way it hits 2017 unless it's a collaborative effort between all the Nintendo studios that have been doing absolutely nothing the past three years.

This sounds like a "you" problem. You might want to broaden your horizons beyond your comfort zone.

'I don't personally like the games being offered so I will call it a drought.'

That's on you. I don't see a drought at all.

There's answers to almost all the questions you asked, OP. I agree that the information has been doled out in a very messy way, though.
Can you link us to where Nintendo have told us the answers to the questions in the OP please. I don't recall them talking about any of these.

"Force yourself to like the small array of games on offer that don't appeal to you because you're not fond of Dynasty Warriors or generic Punch-Out!! or Baby's First Shooter 2."

Come on.

To be fair, when has a Nintendo home console failed to have its own exclusive Zelda?

Whilst I agree it's unlikely Mario will be delayed, you can't blame people for fearing the worst.

To be fair, the WW and TP HD remakes are exclusive to the Wii U. And they are technically exclusive Zeldas, since they aren't on any other console. Even though they are remakes, they are exclusive and they aren't the originals.

The SKU may be exclusive, but let's be honest, the content at its core is not. If we're heading down that route, then you could make an argument for many games that have released on multiple systems being exclusive due to differences and some times rebranding.

When people want an exclusive Zelda on their home console, they don't tend to consider remasters.
