Was just randomly exploring and ended up on the
Prince Zora
mission. Those guys were everywhere trying to get me to that bridge. Anyway, figured it would be a quick little mission, nope. It just keeps going. So good.

Question about the top of Mount Larynu.

Just freed the dragon up there without a quest telling me to, it was right there after the village so I had to go explore. Is there a specific quest later to do this? Kind of like having the narrative driving me forward and filling in the reasons for doing it, so might reload.
There's a side quest, but literally all it is, is telling you the spring is on Mt. Lanayru after talking to a random NPC

I'm 100% bonded with Epona (lol) and I still feel like it becomes hard to make the thing go the way I want it a lot of the time.

I suspect it has to do with its wild temperament though and I should consider taming an Epona Mk II that's a spotted horse.

EDIT:

Actually, an NPC told me that you can make the horsey ride better not by mashing pet, but by only petting it when the horse does something you like... can anyone go into more detail about this?

I pet my horse when it recenters into the road by itself for example. You dont have to guide it all the way, they will try to stay on roads, avoid trees and maintain the speed you set them to. You only need to control them when you want to get outside the road or you have a road split in 2

You can also feed them some apples.

Burning Justice

the superior princess
The constellations will guide you.
Its that kind of puzzle that makes you feel either very smart or very stupid lmao.

Yeah, I left that one for a while, and eventually it occurred to me what I needed to do.

Really glad I didn't look the answer up, would've felt really stupid, haha.

So I was running out of arrows during a boss fight in the great plateau, so I had to try a different method. His weak spot was his
eye
so after I used up my arrows I had to try something else.

Do you need to farm for items, like arrows/swords etc before boss fights?

So it seems that Royal Claymore on top of the Great Forest Tower actually respawns.

Also does anyone know where I could find a Royal Broadsword?

I found one on the most North East Island on the most North East part of the map.

There is a quest but
it's just a guy talking about a spring at the top of the mountain. You are not aware of the dragon before you go up there.

I finished the game. I completed 50 shrines, all the dungeons, and found every memory.

I can't say I'd give it a 10/10. It was a lovely story and a fun game with some great moments, but ultimately flawed and, in my case, extremely buggy with some startling design oversights.

Story observation
I like that the story ends with some resolution for Zelda. She's the main character -- She's the only one with an arc. Link is just a buffoon who kills things and never says a word. This is Zelda's story.

Back to real life and back to work :)

Nah Link has a great Character arc, Through trial and error he becomes a
master chef
so he was able to buy himself
a house
and now spends his days taking
Photographs
. Thats the most character development I have ever seen in a zelda game.

You know, it's fucking shocking to me that there is no
masterchef competition mini game. Unless I've missed it.

Thanks guys. Crazy such a gorgeous and huge creature isn't part of the main quest and is something you can just stumble upon. Before it awoke, it was so big I thought for sure I'd be fighting the eyeballs with the dragon stationary, couldn't believe it when the whole thing got up and flew.

Petting has to do with levelling it up. As far as riding goes you still need to kinda nudge the horse sometimes to stay on the road.

I've made steady advances in each of my four previous sessions (all 6-7 hours long), but tonight I felt I really improved as a player of the game.

Ventured into Central Hyrule for the first time, despite having no intention of going anywhere near the castle any time soon. I was at a loss for what else to do so I took a nostalgic return to the Plateau. From there I dropped down North and only then realised where I was. Decided I might as well just head for the relatively-close tower to activate it for when I returned.

While there I found a bunch of Koroks, spoke to some NPCs, gained some loot, practiced my battle techniques on some enemies and took a disastrous tiptoe into the colosseum
I am not ready for that Lynel. I'll return another time.

I then found the best shrine so far in my playthrough - Kaam Ya’tak. It's so much bigger than any other shrine I've visited so far, had a variety of puzzles, some enemies to battle and the loot! My gosh, the loot is awesome. So much better then anything else I've come across so far.

Best of all I defeated Guardians. The only ones I've been brave enough to take on so far were lodged in the ground in the Eastern Abbey on the Plateau and near Fort Hateno. I did face another ground-lodged one near the tower, against whom I finally struck a perfect parry return against the laser attack. After my first few battles of using bombs and arrows and the occasional, brave swipe of a sword, that one-hit counter attack was so satisfying.

Buoyed by this I decided to engage my first roaming Guardian. I was still too nervous to fight face to face so I climbed a ruin wall where the Guardian's sight was obstructed and took tiny amounts of HP away with bombs and arrows. At about quarter strength I decided to jump down and finally use a Guardian sword I obtained in a shrine. It worked perfectly and swiftly to destroy the Guardian.

I then accidentally stumbled upon another roamer and, having just saved and therefore with nothing to lose, decided to stand tall. I parried a laser, which took about a third of the creature's HP away, then used my Guardian sword to attack. When victorious I got my third ancient core
allowing me to upgrade my stasis ability.

I've beaten Guardians, mapped a new area, completed more shrines, found more Koroks and obtained powerful weapons up to 50 attack strength!

Very happy with this evening. I'm in no rush with this game so I have no urge to dash to Ganon or even complete a dungeon. I'm very happy exploring the world, taking side quests and competing shrines. The big, important stuff can wait.

I'm like one step behind you so thanks for the inspiration. Ready to take on Guardians!

The only negative for me are half decent swords and shields that don't break easily. I've seven hearts and want to go to do the first of the four beasts but have one good sword and know it'll break on my way to the place itself.

Arrows are pretty scarce so yes, but on the other hand there's not only one method to kill an enemy anymore. I'm guessing it's the golem thing you are talking about? You can actually climb him for instance ;)

So I finished the
Lost Woods
and saw, in the distance, some sort of
labyrinth
. I set out to find it, getting surprised by a chill and keeping warm with potions and my
meteor
staff. Once I solved it and headed out I got ambushed by moblins
atop stalhorses
and lost my shit. Then I realized I could
mount and ride the stalhorses
. I had never gone in that direction before and had no idea if I could
register them
or not or where the closest place to do so was so I raced the sun, my depleting health from the cold, and all of the packs of wild enemies whilst trying to get to a
stable
in time. It was amazing. Also I failed, but it was still a blast.

Also, screw that constellation puzzle BUT I realized the solution the following day at work and it made me exceedingly happy to solve it when I went home.

There has to be a way to control this though else that's way too random since you won't notice it's a Blood Moon until it's happening

No idea if this has been said or not (I'm just going through the thread from the last time I had it open). There is a guy at the Duelling Peaks Stable that studies the moon and will tell you if there is a Blood Moon tonight and what phase the moon is in. Sometimes he isn't there though, seems fairly consistently there around noon. And he won't say anything when its rainy because he can't see the sky.

Holy shit

Just found out that the
Rito
Village theme is a remix of
Dragon Roost Island.

😭😭😭😭😭

So the Twilight Bow, a weapon with its own infinite set of ammo that shoots in a perfectly straight line and can also be scanned for daily...has 100 shots worth of durability.

Pretty sure that's where I got mine. I was just wondering if anyone had found a respawning one, like the Royal Claymore on top of the Great Hyrule Forest Tower.

Rist Peninsula - there is an
orange runed stump
on the spiral peninsula out east - looks like an
orange runed ball fits in - no ball in sight

Any hints?

So, I just shattered like 5 weapons trying to get this korok seed. feels bad
Get a boulder up hill into a hole... its golfing uphill using stasis and it fucking SUCKS when you fail and it roles down hill. Could probably try getting it from the cliff into the hole, but that would probably be worse.
anyone try this one and have any tips? Its on Dueling Peak

I believe the
ball
is on a hill at the end of the spiral. You have
to carry it to the center while avoiding hordes of enemies
. Though I suppose
you could just use the frozen tower rune to throw it across.

It's definitely there somewhere, I managed to find it before I realized what the
puzzle
was.

I kinda hate stasis puzzles. You tend to break so many weapons due to them :/

Impa's house.

I don't know how to get it yet though. I'm currently thinking all memories, I have 1 memory left to get.

I have my guess about this but I haven't confirmed:
is it the ball in Impa's house?
Wow, didn't even cross my mind that that was a possibility. I was trying to get on top of all the mountains in the area lol.

I'll keep that in mind for way later!

Shrine quest help in the Rito area:

So I'm at this shrine quest near the Rito village. Got all the little birdies lined up and singing and figured out the order. Yet, I can't seem to figure out what to do. I've shot arrows through the holes in the correct order to no effect. Is there something else i should do?
