Cave of Trials Floor 50: Fight 3 Lynels at once

So this shrine where I have to shoot an arrow into once the shadow of the tower is over it: What am i supposed to do? Stood beside it and shot it once it lighted up but nothing. Do I have to do it from the tower or use an electric arrow?

Also thanks to everyone who answered my previous questions. Thread is moving fast so it can be hard to thank from time to time.

3pmish when the stone glows shoot an arrow at the tip of the tower from the stone location. You cant be on the tower. You have to be on the stone. Regular arrows work so dont waste elementals.

So are people leaning more towards heart containers or stamina when they upgrade? I'm still in the early stages and so far I've only opted for heart containers, as stamina seems more like a convenience (sprinting for longer) so far, rather than vital, especially when it an be supplemented through cooking...

I think I'll get one stamina upgrade for every three or four heart containers....

Generally when presented with options like these in games, I always go for whatever isn't health. In this specific case, you put in so much work, only for enemies later on with high end weapons to one shot you. So then, I am pressed to up my skill anyway. I always bring the mindset of "if I don't want to die, I need to learn patterns and not get hit" and I think this is just as true here.

The stamina helps with exploration. Without it , you can't scale a lot of places and that design is out of your control. You can control and develop your skill, however.

I have 4 hearts and just beat by second Divine Beast, for reference.

Mmm... yes. I guess if you access it from the game's menu screen should give you the option?
OR maybe WiiU's version moving some numbers? And they don't want to give players any more reasons to not upgrade to the Switch..? :s

It was totally available for purchase at launch and the day after.

I was just checking any Eshop deals that expire at noon today that I may want to take advantage of so I checked Zelda (since the Wii U Eshop actually has music and plays the BTW theme).

Considering how a lot of people bought the game on Wii U with the promise of the expansion pass being available and the exact same I doubt it's been removed. I'm interested in why it is currently available.

The game is already pretty difficult, and you can make it harder on yourself by only upgrading your stamina.

Whatever hard mode is will be probably be brutal.

I suggest starting now. You'll die plenty on normal as it is.

Nah. I'm going to do a 100% playthrough and want to do that once. Also I will use all the Zelda Amiibos. Not sure if the materials regular Amiibos give is that useful but I could scan over 50 of those a day too if it would help.

Despite owning a couple hundred games I rarely play through games fully at release. The last time I can remember doing that was Skyward Sword.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, (answer)
you have to shoot the sun with an arrow.

Must be more than one of those.
Edit: Yep, it's that one.

Anyway, I'm i
nside Van Ruta
. I honestly don't get it. :/ I don't want to look it up, but I don't really get what I'm supposed
to do with the wheels at all.

That's what came into my mind but I thought it was too stupid.

In
Ruta you can control trunk through your map. The water that's coming out of it will turn the second, bigger wheel.

Okay the shrine near Woodland Stables with the
stasis golf for an extra chest
is some bullshit I refuse to believe anyone has done that.

I made the same mistake, thinking the glowing platform was the target. Read the hint on the song again.

People not upgrading hearts are missing out one particular thing tho. But at least you can
respec

Fuck that thing. Straight in the butt. I dropped that extra chest like groceries.

Ironically in a different shrine there's a better mini golf trials with motion controls that is actually fun unlike this fucking shrine

You should probably start getting hearts from now on since you need
13 in order to pull the Master Sword from it's pedestal.

It's doable. You are picking up and moving the ball for a better shot, right?

There's the ruins of one by the Plateau. I didn't find anything significant there though, aside from some
money
and a
Lynel
Oh I thought it was an actual one. I wanted to "are you entertained" with link. Which I guess would be him gesturing the crowd with "..." and the audience going "why yes, we are entertained!"

This is a spoiler I'm glad to have clicked. Is there a way to temporarily respec? Do temporary hearts add to required count?

I've been wondering, what happens if you drop a tree into water. Does it float? What happens if you put balloons on it?

Question about the Amiibos if we pool them at work can we all scan them once a day? It's not storing anything in the amiibo with this game is it?

anyone can spoiler-tag me location of (enemy) L
ynels
?

I know of two... the one near
Zora's domain
and one close to
Mt Laynaru

where else are they? I need to farm them for armor upgrade materials. Also they're fun to fight

What' the most Korok seeds anyone has found so far without a guide? I'm really enjoying hunting them down. There's a few "types" that I only recently discovered, and I know I'll have to go back with those in mind. I'm at like 92 seeds, 40 hours in. My next weapon expansion costs 35...

There is one by the horse head stable,
at the bottom of a coliseum.

At the
North West
of the map in the snow area I've found at least 3 or 4
white haired ones

Lack of Stamina for exploring isn't really a problem once you get the
bird upgrade

I did stamina twice before hearts, now I do stamina for every two hearts. Nearly got a second wheel.

This game is making hours of my life disappear. I went to Sonic for lunch yesterday and brought my Switch with me. After I finished eating, I sat in my truck and played the game. I got to a particularly head-scratching shrine (
Faster than the Speed of Light, trying to get the last chest
). Between eating, traveling, and solving the puzzle, by the time I finished I had been at lunch for 2 hours. D:

Fast forward to later last night, I sat down to play again. I was working on activating the rest of the towers, but I stumbled across some woods and found another difficult shrine next to a familiar face. 2 hours later I realize it's midnight and I have to get up in 5 hours. D:

I love this game so freaking much, but I don't think it can be played in short bursts.

Don't have a switch yet. Is there fishing in the game?

Pole fishing; sadly it appears not. I was sure they would have brought that feature back from previous games (especially considering just how many lakes, rivers and oceans there are in this game) but alas, they decided not to for whatever reasons. DLC perhaps? :)

Yeah that's what I did. But Im also finding every shrine with my map from the guide.

I think that once you have two wheels, possibly 2 and a little bit of the third, you'll have more stamina than you'll ever need for climbing. Particularly if you have the full climbers set and upgrade it twice to get the more stamina while climbing full set upgrade

Yeah it's kind of... different. Swimming around grabbing fish.

Some puzzles in this game are very good. I've played with people over and everybody gets into trying to solve them. Try this, drop something over there, do you think x will work? It's a lot of fun and encourages creative play. It's pretty cool crowdsourcing ideas and voting on where to go next. Everyone gets hooked by what could be around the corner, under the mountain, over the horizon...

These test of strength shrines feel like a bit of a waste.

I disagree actually, and I think they're some of my favorites. I wasn't enjoying combat very much until I had to face a Major Test of Strengtg trial. Learning the dodge mechanics to beat that with only weak-ish weapons has made me enjoy enemy encounters more on the whole.

My favorite part of this game is playing with others. It's so fun to experience the world with other people, and to solve puzzles like you said. My friend helped me with the first dungeon and it was a blast for both of us

Aside from the castle, is there any place I can't go from an early point in the game?

I just only
got my sheikah with the tacking upgrade and I'm going to talk to Impa for the second time
. But I think I'm going to get a couple more hearts first.

Also, how do I
un-track and item in my sheikah+? Its stuck on the mushrooms but I don't care any more if I'm near them lol

Upon reading a different thread, I came across a question I felt like asking here. Does anyone else find themselves avoid horses entirely in this game? I tamed one at the very beginning, but quickly found them to be annoying. They control just fine, but I'm always way too tempted to climb everything I see.

As a result, I've found myself using a combination of fast travel, climbing, and gliding to get just about everywhere and I haven't felt the need for a horse at all. Anyone else playing like that? If nothing else, it's great that the game affords me that option!

Screw this obviously American voice actor doing fake English accent. I'm not gonna do what you tell me to do, fake British guy! And Zelda sounds very old for a young girl...

Mount Doom or whatever looks interesting. Also came across my first boss battle. I love that it just came out of nowhere, and it was my chose to flee or fight. I backed off a bit and observed it's behavior like you do in Dark Souls. Because I was traveling well prepared, I had the right tool for the job to finish the boss on the spot. Didn't even get hit once.

I've found that blowing skeletons them off a cliff with a leaf is the best way to deal with them, which is amusing... A leaf is more effective in this game than any miracle in DS.

Clearing generic bandit camps at this point doesn't seem worth it. I'll wear out my good kit and only get lower quality weapons, arrows & acorns.

I'm going to be that guy and respond to my own question.
I'm trying to do the same thing, only a little earlier in that task. But I can't find
Naydra
. Any tips on that one?
So if you're looking to upgrade the Champion's Tunic to two stars and just can't find the rare ingredient... I found a way.

How to farm
Naydra
!

0. Obviously,
the event at the peak of Mount Lanyaru
must be completed in advance.
1. Collect wood and flint. Wood can be gotten on location, but bring flint. 4-5 pieces should be plenty.
2. Go to the
Lanyaru East Gate
marker on the map and pass through the gate so you're on the east side of it.
3. The local
Lynel population
will disagree. Deal with that.
4. Save the game.
5. Hold flint and wood. Drop it on the ground, strike with metal weapon. Campfire!
6. Wait until morning.
7. Look up at
Lanyaru Peak.
You should see
a dragon. It's coming right at you!
8. Get a good vantage point, pull out bow, and
shoot its mane for a Horn Fragment
.
9. Collect loot, then go to 4, repeat until you have all you came for. In case of a
Blood Moon
, go to 3 first.

As an aside, thanks to this, I'll never have to worry about finding a good shield again. A
Lynel
carries a 30 strength shield. I'll take it!

Yeah, plus a goron massage gives you +3 hearts and +1 stamina wheel. :P

Climbing makes up like 90% of travel in this game, so horses seem pretty useless.

Yea, I'm doing the same. The completionist in me can't justify riding a horse when there's so many things to explore that a horse cannot traverse. Might change my mind if I ever discover a cool horse.

The biggest fuck up with horses is that they can't spawn near you. I don't why they opted for this when every other game you can have them spawn near you by whistling/playing a tune. Not to mention with so much shit being put on mountains and off the main path, to explore like I am means more climbing and gliding. Horses are useless in this regard.

I don't mind horses, but I'm not going out of my way to use them.

The Ze Kasho shrine was painful (the one where you have to
rotate the board to get the three spheres onto the switches
). I'm not a fan of the
motion control
puzzles at all; are there many more of these?
