I usually feel like this in RPGs but I haven't felt the lack of a dedicated healer here, Makoto has been covering well enough and you can even baton pass to the MC for a boosted heal since he can cover roles when needed. Worst case there's a bunch of items in a pinch piling up too.

I've used exactly one item in battle so far (just finished palace 4) and it was to figure out what button items were when I realized I didn't know to throw an ice all item for the heck of it lol.

Spoilers, maybe, although if you're like me you never saw this while playing the game and it's hidden

Tanaka
is in this game!?

I totally missed him and his annoying/cheerful theme song. Where was he?

Damn straight. His SL is also pretty cool so far.

Ryuji's SL is basically the opposite of how he acts in the main game.

I got to the part of Mishima's SL where he starts getting annoying... hopefully he grows up eventually.

You have to
fix the broken laptop at your workbench using parts from Akihabara.

I missed this too, even though I had passed 1 step to get there.

To access him, you need to buy a repair kit in Akihabara (which I had done) and also purchase a broken computer or something from the used store in Yongen (after the game console is sold, I guess). After that, you can then access the dark web where Tanaka is.

I just started the second palace but I can't find or fuse a Sun Persona for the life of me... any advice? I'd really like one asap

I think that's one of the arcanas that starts at a higher level.

You can check the level requirements for all personas in the Velvet Room's compendium, IIRC, sorted by arcana.

Edit: Xeteh to the rescue!

How much are people spending to pull their endgame summons from the compendium? I'm curious about the amount of yen I'll need to carry over to complete stuff I missed in NG+.

Also, do mementos quest unlock no matter what or do I need to finish the last quest first? I currently have the one that had an anime episode, but I want to let them stack up before going in so I can do them all in one go. Haven't had any new ones in a while though.

Anyone know?

How did you do this? Were you idling or grinding a lot? I don't get it especially that early in the game where you can hardly do anything.

No clue, maybe my in-game timer is off?

I beat the first dungeon after the 20 hour mark; which I thought was normal.
I'm currently on June 12th? just got back from
the TV field trip
. I do multitask when I play, so that could've padded the numbers a little. I haven't really grinded, my protag is lvl 21; is that OP for the 3rd dungeon?

I DO, maximize my free time, shop, listen to rumors etc...

Well I guess this is enough Persona 5 for today. Got screwed by RNG twice. Nothing like getting 4x crit hits from a single target physical attack. Why can't we restart the floor like P4G???

At the 5th palace and
for the first time I think I might have to grind. I've managed to avoid it for a good long while but I fought against the green robot and he killed MC first attack. This is also the first time I've died in the game, which I'm not complaining it's getting harder. But still it had a perfect pacing thing going on, and considering I've put in like 45 hours into the game it had a long perfect streak going. For comparison other rpgs that had the same streak were like, final fantasy 7 for the first 6 hours.

Halfway through the 5th Palace.

I don't understand the hate. It hasn't felt that long.

Not really spoilers but impressions.
I can't comment on length as I'm going through it but it feels boring. This feels like the only palace so far that wasn't perfected from a team of scientists to make the perfect jrpg. I don't know if it's the look or the layout, maybe it's that story wise the villain feels the most cartoony bad but it isn't doing it for me.

Then again after palace 3 and 4 the scale is impossibly high for me.

Hit 50 hours & I'm still loving every second of it.

Granted, you can shave off some of those hours seeing as I've played to the point where I succumbed to sleep the past few nights, but still. Too damn fun.

Persona 5 might not be my favorite game of all time or anything, but it's absolutely THE most impressive in terms of being consistently enchanting for an insane amount of time.

If you are trying to fuse one for the social link, I think that social link ranks up every time you go. Otherwise, not sure about the earliest you can fuse one.

I feel this, Nier might still be my game of the year but I can't deny if you talk joy per hour in terms of value this is easily the best I've had in years.

How do I (temperance confidant)
get the teacher to do my laundry
?

Man, this Palace 6 stuff is...really really relevant to Japan. Kinda surprised they're actually deciding to go this route as I bet Japan in general doesn't really believe what they're putting out there is actually true. Well...older Japan.

Why is it that I don't get a bonus in Mishimas SL when I have a Moon Persona with me? He's the only one where it doesn't say that it might help.

Just beat the 5th palace and the boss. It actually ended really well and the boss itself was a good challenge while fitting to the theme of what was going on.
Beating his ass in the end was fucking awesome
. Now I gotta spend the remaining days raising kindness and social links!

So I just beat the second palace and am around 25 hours...have i pretty much experienced most of what the core gameplay loop is going to be?

Enjoying myself but the game is pretty similar to what I recall P3:FES being. So I might need to take breaks in between dungeons if this really is a 100hr game lol

Which difficulty are you playing on?
You dont have to grind if you have the right personas actually

OMG, the final Palace actually tired me out. Gonna finish it tomorrow. I assume we're not supposed to try and complete the entire thing in one calendar day but eff it. I just wanna finish the game, see the ending and and get into NG+.

I think my main issue with the 5th Palace arc in general is that
I don't feel a huge attachment to Haru or her father. Their entire introduction to the story feels a bit half-assed to me.

Still
quite a bit to go
