I'd be curious to know what the physical vs digital breakdown is? This is one of the few games where I'd consider a digital purchase just to have with me at all times.

Yeah I went digital for that reason. I'm playing a lot of zelda at the moment too (and snake pass for the matter) and it is nice just to have the game on the system for all times. I kind of wish i had Mario Kart digitally as well.

Also with the game being 3.3 gigs little space is used up too. Llittle digital tax as well - Same price at retail at amazon (if you don't have prime)

Yeah digital here. You want to have this on hand if you have your Switch out and meet another Splatoon 2 owner for some Salmon run!

So, is LAN play really only available for wired connections? We can't find a way to do that over WLAN and the ad-hoc wireless is a bit unreliable.

Mario Kart's LAN mode works fine over WLAN.

Splatoon is more objective based so anyone can become good at Splatoon. Play the campaign and try out as many weapons as possible to find something or multiple weapons you love to play with.

I suck fucking bad at fpses and competitive games but with Splatoon i can actually become first regulary in matches even ranked ones thanks to kills not being the 100% major focus like most other multiplayer pvp games and it's very easy to get into it.

My K/D ratio in Destiny is something like 1:2. I am often the best player when i play splatoon.

Splatoon 1 was really good with matching you with players of equal skill. Aditionally it taught you how to play via the single player campaign and quick matches (3 minutes) mean that you never dwell on a loss too long.

Its an essential shooter if you like the genre and a fun game even if you dont.

As someone that sucks and normally hates online games, the key thing with Splatoon 2 is I'm having fun even if I'm shit.

But I don't find constantly dying in COD etc fun...

I think the key to the fun (partly) is that kill ratios don't seem to matter in this game, and this game just doesn't feel serious. Although I'm sure some people probably do take it seriously lol

My wallet hates you all :( Now, do i go physical or digital?

I keep getting communication errors even though MK8 and Minecraft play perfectly online. Is there anything wrong with the servers?

Who gives a fuck

What a bizarre thing to say. I give a fuck, and I'm sure other likeminded people do to.

Games aren't required to have a checklist of stuff made elsewhere.

Checklist? This is a basic feature ffs.

And gtfo with that "punishing" bullcrap please.

Nah I rather stay and argue my position against your weak corporate excuse.

Special mode being temporary is not unheard of at all

It's a co-op mode ffs, you got to stop speaking that corporate language.

and it's more annoying for everyone if people have to wait longer because some people only want to play salmon run for the rest of their lives for some reason.

Wtf kind of reasoning is that? Nintendo should let people decide what mode they prefer.

Also, they allowed it to be played local anytime for the same reason.

Should I give them a medal?

Oh my god Splatoon 2 finally here!:D time to play da campaign and hopefully i see some of you ingame on online matches after:)

At 13:37 too super LEET/1337.
Stay fresh ya all:P

Edit: oh i first need to reverse the cover ofcourse for dat hero mode art.

After two hours of gameplay exclusively in Splat Zone, I can tell I'll easily hit +100h with this game. Easily.

Go physical IF you dont like it....

But you will like it hehe

Couldn't agree more. Went into Splatoon with not much expectation and was so hooked I got annoyed everytime I was separated from my Wii U that summer. With Splatoon 2 I don't even need to be separated from it...

Fuckin' hell. 2 players dropped out midway through Salmon Run. Me and the other player managed to finish with bonuses but it was tough as hell. I hope there's a severe penalty for players who drop during a game. That was not cool.

Could be a connection issue. It's the first day after all.

Been attempting to download this game after it went live, to no avail. Guess the servers were being swarmed. I fell asleep, woke up a while ago and got rolling. Well it's completed now, so off I go. Happy splatting!

How the hell do you do salmon run lol?

I've pressed x and can see it's currently open but where do I go to actually do it???

I thought maybe where I go to picked regular, ranked battle etc but nope.

You need to be level 4 in turf war. It's in front of you in the left corner when you spawn. You can also fast travel there by using the menu.

Thanks, when you say fast travel, how do you do that?! If I press X I can see the stages etc but can't see how to fast travel, or am I in the wrong menu?

It's probably me but some parts of this game are confusing.

The closer you are, the more damage it does. Think of it as a shot gun. It's also pretty good at covering territory.

I'd rather use another weapon which already does decent damage and has a range farther than 10 feet. I don't see any reason to ever use this over a roller.

I went physical like I always do if I can

I have a case that is with the switch at all times - it has card slots in it so I always have the game with me

Oh wow, that Ink Shield special is the most annoying thing in the world. It makes it SO difficult to be offensive, as it effects the entire team, so if multiple people on the opposing team have that special then you're screwed in terms of going head to head with someone.

My amiibo and me!

Shoot strong corners.

Blaster is very strong, like a charger and roller combined. But it takes a fair amount of skill.

It's not really a shotgun, more like... Well, a blaster

Salmun Run is such a good addition to the game... The meat of the game is still with PvP but this is gonna be such a fun distraction and change of pace from time to time.

Also it's such a small change but leave it to Nintendo to actually have a slightly more interesting way to revive a teammate. Shooting a raft keeps the pace of play up whereas most games just make you stand still over your teammate and hold a button.

It’s pretty nice filling up your friends list, you can bypass some long lobby times by simply joining someone else’s lobby on your list

Hoping I can escape the company picnic a bit early, should be delivered today.

I wasn't particularly great at the demo but it was still quite fun.

My Switch Online app is not tracking my progress at all, not even acknowledge that I got the game...
Anybody with this issue too?
