Extremely wrong, it's currently my go-to for Ranked. Shreds people if you're accurate, it's currently the only gun I've found that has the Point Sensor which is so great for Ranked, and the Ink Storm is awesome moving area denial.

Seconded. It's my preferred weapon for Splatzone. Especially on long maps like Port.

Exactly. Why not painting the base first? It makes movement very easy and it's much faster for the team to reach certain areas of the map.

Because every mode is decided on mid control. Whoever controls the middle controls the match. People respawning should be inking up the spawn bit by bit in Turf War.

The only thing I didn't like about the campaign (apart from the unimaginative final boss) was being forced to use weapons I don't care for during it. I know some people will argue that's a good thing as it gets everybody to use all varied weapons, but it frustrated me.

Started playing this. Beat the first few levels and the first boss fight. I dig it so far. Dig it a lot more than I was digging the multiplayer testfire and splatfests to be honest. Game made me laugh when I was exploring, found a collectible and got an "are you a completionist or something?" message.

In b tier most of the Japanese players really don't like to get on the tower, but that's because getting on it means near certain death of you stay on it too long.

The game at that point is all about a matter of inches as everyone scouts ahead to win the land war first.

Until you crack into like S tier its extreme idiocy all the time.

Even in S tier at times. But the space inbetween... sweet lord. People don't know routes, people don't know the objective.

A) That's brilliant.

That's mine!

I don't understand how people are able to draw this well using such a limited tool?
While I don't have a lot of experience with making art with a d-pad, I've dabbled in single-colour sprites more than I probably should have. I guess the big trick here is the "noise". It makes your drawings seem less clear and clean, making your brain do overtime with filling in the blanks and trying to see past the abstraction. It's going to strain your eyes in motion or with longer exposure, but it's fine in just a single shot. The more the drawing's blown up, the messier it becomes though.

Missing the doodle jump game, but I guess it's really pointless now that matchmaking is a whole lot quicker.

I hate the off the hook line. Stay fresh was superior :)

All in all, fantastic game!

How do I get the ability chunks?

I know this is probably super obvious, but...

How do you reset the camera? Y just resets so you center yourself, but I want to calibrate the "starting" position. I'm playing laying on my back, and so I'm constantly looking "up."

The gyros dont seem to work well when layin on ones back.

If you sit down you will see that Y sets your current position as the center

I feel like in this early stages I'm running into some people who are definitely way above where they are at currently lol.

The weapon tree is kind of interesting in splat 2, not a lot of varient designs at the lower levels yet. Should be interesting when the gals or blaster varient or remix subweapon/specials start to get played

well i encountered my first splatoon bug.

if you take the switch from tv mode into handheld mode, it appears that everything works normal. until you enter a game. then the controls do nothing (except for home button).

-_-

Yep, Splattershot Pro is definitely the best weapon so far for ranked mode, especially Tower Control.

I'm pro voicechat but do i hope they never release all open voice chat in splatoon itself like cod and gta etc.

That stuff is so toxic these days it ain't funny. that's why i like party chat and discord you can easy filter out crazy people in those if they behave like total pieces of shit or racistic douchebags.

But yeah Nintendo should fix that app i prefer party chat on the switch itself but i doubt we will get that. But imo open ingame voicechat would ruin Splatoon alot.

ah the room's full now. i was reloading the switch but nevermind.

sorry for being afk the first minute of the last two games. that splatoon bug was not nice :(

I'm not dogging on new people, or people trying to figure it out.

But there is a point where its like, hey pay attention to where I'm inking and trying to travel... perhaps its a path you should follow.

When its like A tier and people still don't get it, you have to really wonder.

How exactly do the amiibo work? Im level 10 and i wanna use callie but she only gave me one piece of clothing.

Apparently all of the pieces should unlock by level 10. If they didn't, save some gear to the Amiibo(s) giving you problems and you'll get the rest of the sets.

That's for the Splatoon 1 inklings and squid tho. People on GameFAQs said you might need to beat single player the Sisters' stuff. I don't have them, so I can't confirm. I had to do the gear trick for the other Splatoon 1 Amiibos though.

Why do teammates never paint our home base well...

Haha, true, happens very often. More points for me! A lot of people probably play turfwar like Domination in COD. They like to go straight to Point B in the middle, because they know others in the team will take care of Point A/Home base.

I'm confused how the rank skipping works. I dropped at least 2 games in C- in both Zones and Tower Control yesterday, and it immediately boosted me to B-. Today, I drop only one game in Rainmaker and get even more kills than the other modes, and only C+. Bizarre.

Finally unlocked the Tri-Slosher and it is glorious. Its lack of range is a real problem when around Rapid Blasters, chargers, etc. But short-range, it is a spammy beast.

Also got the Camo Mesh. Love that hat. Gotta get that Swim Speed and Sub Saver.

Didn't happen when I tried this before. Hopefully it's just a one off.
