OHHHHHHHHH.... lol I'm dumb. Thanks.

Also, you can only get the bonus score once per weapon i believe. So say you hit 10, then drop down to 9. Then back to 10. You wont get the bonus that time around cause you already got it. You have to go to 15 for your next bonus.

And you can do this with all the weapons. Its not a blanket thing.

Hahahah wow. Thanks for sharing. How did you figure it out?

I feel like levelling is slow enough that when I see people in the mid 20s it's shocking to me

I personally used the 1.5 XP boost and ranked. So when I win a game I'm earning 3750xp.

I'm currently ranked 32. It's bullshit that there are no weapon unlocks after 30 though.

Rank means nothing anyway, and to be honest the guns you get early on are actually better than some of the later ones. I'm using a spattershot to give you an idea.

Because they are OP. I switched to them and went 1k+ each game. This game is need of some serious balancing.

I don't see how. Range is roughly equal to the Splattershot Pro, but if you aren't doing concentrated fire, you aren't gonna dish out the same damage over the same amount of time. The accuracy, while not Aerospray-bad, isn't the greatest either.

honestly i always forget there are boosts

When the team who has the most dualies is always the victor, there is something wrong.

The ink coverage on the dualies is crazy for how long range they are. A large area can be covered with them more quickly than a lot of other weapons. Add in that they are deadly close, mid, and long range. There aren't many drawbacks to playing with them as far as I have experienced.

literally the first night they're out and live and they're already op. lmao.

It's best to just ignore people like that. Any time someone claims some weapons is overpowered it basically means they just play better with it, or can't figure out how to counter it, therefore the game has a problem

Yeah, because a weapon could never be OP. I suppose the matchmaking and 3v4 matches are a figment of my imagination too.

tbh i've not had very many matchmaking problems or 3v4s at all. it's probably regional though since japan just sends au their surplus players at all hours of the day

I had only played a couple of Salmon Runs, easily beat them and couldn't understand what all the fuss here was about. Today I gave it another chance and wow! It's become much harder and incredibly fun! I love how you need to work as a team to win, no matter how good you are you won't achieve anything on your own. It's awesome when you find a good team and everyone works together understanding their role and knowing which enemies are theirs and when they have to drop back and just provide support depending on their current weapon. It's a reslly funny mode!

Fixed:

As you level it gets harder. Teamwork is really key. Hard to play with randoms and win consistently.

Personally I think they're rubbish. A little worse than regular dualies at close range, significantly worse than every other ranged shooter at range. Each gun aims at its crosshair, creating a deadzone between them at long ranges that your targets will usually fall between, making the spread of the things even worse. And the whole point of the ranged weapons is that they're low spread and accurate in the first place. Throw on top of that they've got joint lowest damage per shot of every weapon... they're like a 5-6 hit kill at max range. On top of their inaccuracy.

It's a version of a close range weapon which trades off its primary purpose in order to be bad at something else. Only thing they're good at is inking IMO. So they'll be ok in turf war and terrible in ranked probably. Except maybe splatzones if you're lucky.

The idea that you could determine a weapon is OP right after it comes out just because you're doing better with them is so absurd it doesn't even warrant an actual rebuttal. And the other stuff has nothing to do with weapons being OP

The game isn't balanced around Turf War...

People keep evaluating weapons based on Turf War like it means something... That mode isn't in ranked for a reason. Spraying lots of ink =/= good and they aren't as deadly as other options.

Plus it's been less than 24 hours lol

Turf war is the primary mode of this game when it comes to online.

So a game can't be criticized within 24 hours of release? It's not like it's teh first game. People understand how it works.

That's obviously not what they're saying. They're saying you can't call a weapon OP after it's been available for half a day and literally everyone is using it. It's completely unrepresentative of it's powerful.

And also because it's not a very good weapon anyway.

For a series that has been out since 2015, it's not that big of a stretch to be able to have an opinion on a new weapon.

That may be the case, but when 75% of people are using that weapon currently, it's not exactly representative of how it will perform in normal gameplay. Once you're seeing a normal variation of weapons in play, you'll be able to evaluate how it performs in a normal matchup.

Personally I do think it's only really good for inking territory. It's outclassed by most other ranged weapons at range and most close range weapons at close range. Which will make it a poor choice in ranked, and time will tell if the inking potential makes up for its combat weakness in turf war.
