Tri-Slosher is cheap cowardly weapon requiring no skill. Nerf pls.
But I like using it in Salmon Run!
The last boss is awful.

......you take that back.

It's not awful, but very disappointing compared to the first game's.
Which is why I thank myself every day that I never played the first game. Then again I don't usually compare originals to sequels like that unless the ending is bad. Like everyone dies for no good reason bad. Plus I love the orchestral Phase 2.

I did watch the first game's final battle on YouTube though. It was alright. Vastly prefer the one on one stadium in the second game.

I don't understand the mode with the fountains. We have to chase the one Goldie and make eggs pop out of it. But it disappears and reappears? It didn't seem like we had time to get 15 eggs regardless because so much time was spend with the thing not even on the map. Is there some sort of trick to find it faster?

You have to find the fountain which shines more, the goldie will pop from it. Took me a while to realize it.

The first one was a Nintendo boss: focused on gameplay using almost everything you'd learnt through the campaign (sponges, invisible floors, fountains...) and it was much harder. The second one goes for more spectacle and is much simpler and much easier. It's almost as if it prioritized spectacle to gameplay compared to the first one. IMO, the first one was much, much better, one of the GOAT final bosses, it even got it's own threads here on GAF to praise it but you won't see that happen for the second one.

Yes I know. I've seen it. I still stand by my comment. Same as why I enjoyed Breath of the Wild's true final boss even though many didn't like it. I like having spectacle sometimes.

Plus it's also about the music for me in both Splatoon 2 and BotW. Which people also didn't like much in the former.

Salmon run has been very fun this time around. Up to my first super bonus and I have to say, the weapon selection this time is very balanced.

You have the blaster as your heavy hitter.
The Jr and the Tri are your crowd control tools.
And the scope is your long range and steelhead killer.

Glowflies waves with the scope are specially fun.

Count in me with those who preffered the final fight music from S1, specially when it changed it was soooo hype!! S2's boss would have looked better if it was something completely new, but it's just a simplified version of S1 which makes it easy to compare. S1 had spectacle and was something new and original (fresh!). S2 only has the spectacle part going for it and doesn't give you anything apart of the visuals and music, while S1's hyped you through the fight with visuals, music, gameplay and challenge. What I mean is that by just watching a YT video of the first one you won't get half the experience as if you played it.

WHY!

Its been 10 days. Why does my AL not show the 5 hour playtime estimate. ITS OVER AN HOUR LATE FROM 12:04 AM!

Anywayz: Now A rank in all three modes and A+ in Splat Zones. Feels good, but I most likely have reached my limit.

Sigh. Anyways I just realized that I've been trying to use tilt controls on other games like Overwatch and Call of Duty! I felt really stupid.

Plus I'm only like Level 12 or 13 in Splatoon 2 multiplayer.

The weapons in the Salmon Round are much better than the last one. Also this stage gets super small at highest tide. We got overwhelmed quickly.

If I had a dollar for every person I see not throw a bomb on a Maws and instead wait for it to come up and shoot it...

I received an invitation to join a lobby from someone on my friend list through the Switch Online App. The matchmaking part of it worked surprisingly well. Didn't tried the voicechat though.

Oh you did too? I got it from a guy named TrkyShadow. But I'm not available to play at the moment.

Well, now I can say I've also been a victim to the "Rank won't change due to lack of players (D/C) yet the Tank cracks anyways" bug. :/

So I see that Nintendo has pretty much abandoned censoring plaza posts compared to Splat 1.
I mean, I know that this is the old "Hitler Ate Sugar" joke, but damn. That would've never gotten through on Miiverse.

Well I did see a Hentai post earlier this week. Plus the mayo on Marina post.

Oh hey cool now I got another D/C and my tube cracked again, dropping me back below the OK line. Thanks for that false message, game! Really rubs the salt in the wound.

I didn't play the first one, and yet it's very apparent that the first one was a lot more impressive compared to the final boss from this game. Very underwhelming, and it pretty much begs to be compared for obvious reasons.

If you don't like it, you can report it. I reported one gay joke that slipped through whatever moderation process Nintendo uses and I haven't seen anything like it since.

Loved 1's final Boss.
Still prefer 2's.
Throw me in with the enjoying the spectacle crowd, I guess.

That tri slosher does get to me. I always die because someone has one and just throws a bunch of ink at me. I haven't been able to try out yet. Not sure what level you can buy it at.

Protip: the cell reception is too unstable to attempt playing turf wars while traveling over the Sydney Harbour bridge. Sorry ozsquids

So just started playing tonight. Game is a blast just like the first, but I have to say playing without a constant map is weird. Also it makes the super jump mechanics not as obvious. I wasn't even sure if they were still in the game until a good amount of matches.

Also wtf does the ink armor do? It says it protects against one hit is it literally one hit? And does it take a while to kick in?

It takes a while to kick in, but it protects the whole team. It lets you absorb some hits (3-4?) though I don't know if it depends on the strength of the shot. For example, you can absorb a fully charged charger shot but I think it gets rid of the armor right away. I didn't like it at first as it seemed so weak compared to the Bubble of S1, but am growing to like it. Btw, inkjet+armor = mayhem.

Ink armor is basically like an additional 100 life. Think of it like the armor in single player mode, only it does not regenerate and only temporary.
