Which is why I thank myself every day that I never played the first game. Then again I don't usually compare originals to sequels like that unless the ending is bad. Like everyone dies for no good reason bad. Plus I love the orchestral Phase 2.It's not awful, but very disappointing compared to the first game's.
You have to find the fountain which shines more, the goldie will pop from it. Took me a while to realize it.I don't understand the mode with the fountains. We have to chase the one Goldie and make eggs pop out of it. But it disappears and reappears? It didn't seem like we had time to get 15 eggs regardless because so much time was spend with the thing not even on the map. Is there some sort of trick to find it faster?
The first one was a Nintendo boss: focused on gameplay using almost everything you'd learnt through the campaign (sponges, invisible floors, fountains...) and it was much harder. The second one goes for more spectacle and is much simpler and much easier. It's almost as if it prioritized spectacle to gameplay compared to the first one. IMO, the first one was much, much better, one of the GOAT final bosses, it even got it's own threads here on GAF to praise it but you won't see that happen for the second one.Which is why I thank myself every day that I never played the first game. I did watch the first game's final battle on YouTube though. It was alright. Vastly prefer the one on one stadium in the second game.
Yes I know. I've seen it. I still stand by my comment. Same as why I enjoyed Breath of the Wild's true final boss even though many didn't like it. I like having spectacle sometimes.Snip
Count in me with those who preffered the final fight music from S1, specially when it changed it was soooo hype!! S2's boss would have looked better if it was something completely new, but it's just a simplified version of S1 which makes it easy to compare. S1 had spectacle and was something new and original (fresh!). S2 only has the spectacle part going for it and doesn't give you anything apart of the visuals and music, while S1's hyped you through the fight with visuals, music, gameplay and challenge. What I mean is that by just watching a YT video of the first one you won't get half the experience as if you played it.Yes I know. I've seen it. I still stand by my comment. Plus it's also about the music for me in both Splatoon 2 and BotW. Which people also didn't like much in the former.
Oh you did too? I got it from a guy named TrkyShadow. But I'm not available to play at the moment.I received an invitation to join a lobby from someone on my friend list through the Switch Online App. The matchmaking part of it worked surprisingly well. Didn't tried the voicechat though.
Yep, that was him. Then I myself tried to invite other people in the room.Oh you did too? I got it from a guy named TrkyShadow. But I'm not available to play at the moment.
Dang now I feel bad. Maybe I can just play without connecting to the TV.Yep, that was him. Then I myself tried to invite other people in the room.
I mean, I know that this is the old "Hitler Ate Sugar" joke, but damn. That would've never gotten through on Miiverse.
Well I did see a Hentai post earlier this week. Plus the mayo on Marina post.So I see that Nintendo has pretty much abandoned censoring plaza posts compared to Splat 1.

I get it Lotus. I get it. I can read.I didn't play the first one, and yet it's very apparent that the first one was a lot more impressive compared to the final boss from this game. Very underwhelming, and it pretty much begs to be compared for obvious reasons.
If you don't like it, you can report it. I reported one gay joke that slipped through whatever moderation process Nintendo uses and I haven't seen anything like it since. So I see that Nintendo has pretty much abandoned censoring plaza posts compared to Splat 1.

Yep, hit X at the food menu. The drinks level up your abilities faster and increase the chances of unlocking certain abilities. :-OWait what? There is?

It unleashes a screen-filling wave of ink that's pretty much impossible to out-shoot up close. That's probably the shortest range weapon I've ever heard be called 'cowardly' lol.
Oh wow I never thought of that! I'll check it out in the morning!Yep, hit X at the food menu. The drinks level up your abilities faster and increase the chances of unlocking certain abilities. :-O
Mayo have gone too far.If you don't like it, you can report it. I reported one gay joke that slipped through whatever moderation process Nintendo uses and I haven't seen anything like it since.
Do they have censors or is the reports going to social media? So I see that Nintendo has pretty much abandoned censoring plaza posts compared to Splat 1.

It takes a while to kick in, but it protects the whole team. It lets you absorb some hits (3-4?) though I don't know if it depends on the strength of the shot. For example, you can absorb a fully charged charger shot but I think it gets rid of the armor right away. I didn't like it at first as it seemed so weak compared to the Bubble of S1, but am growing to like it. Btw, inkjet+armor = mayhem. So just started playing tonight. Game is a blast just like the first, but I have to say playing without a constant map is weird. Also it makes the super jump mechanics not as obvious. I wasn't even sure if they were still in the game until a good amount of matches.
Also wtf does the ink armor do? It says it protects against one hit is it literally one hit? And does it take a while to kick in?
I love being able to play in portable mode while standing in a waist-high vat of mayo
