To add:

I actually also blame Bayley for not being able to cut a promo to get herself out of a paper bag but her issues are definitely more on booking than Ziggler's who is entirely based on that he's just been shit all year.

Have you what they given her, not even Cena could make that sound good and Ziggy, he lost his drive to be good and bad booking.

Bayley not being good on the mic is definitely one reason.

But on the other hand, no one could take a This Is Your Life segment mocking you as a complete nerd complete with actors pretending to be people from your past establishing you as a virgin who's never kissed anyone before and THEN proceeding to literally be beaten clean in five minutes and never getting a comeuppance on the villain and come off it completely fine and over with the crowd.
 
It was interesting seeing Gable immediately getting his personality back in the Shelton promo

They're probably going to essentially retell the story he had with Gable in NXT.

Bayley is decent promo who hurt by WWE terrible writing and booking like she gave decent to great promos in NXT . I mean what are supposed to do with this is your life or being made to look like the biggest geek ever?

She hasn't not look like a geek since what day one. If someone is a decent promo you don't write them garbage or terrible segments. You book to make talent look good not to make them look bad.
 
Bayley cutting bad promos isn't really the problem.

Constantly and constantly being booked like a massive fucking idiot is the problem.

Once again, no one could recover from the This Is Your Life segment.

They gave Bayley an open platform to say whatever the fuck she wanted and it was so bad Booker and Renee called her out on it. That's what excel was referring to.

If Bayley takes on a beach ball gimmick, she won't need to cut promos. She'll just need to inflate her suit, make a puffy face and bounce around while waving her arms.

Bayley was also booked terribly... but part of them losing faith in her was her incredibly bad promo work.

She has to take some of the responsibility

This is your life happened on live TV, kendo stick on pole macth happen on pvv, she lost in her home town on a ppv. Week after week she is made to look like a geek. Ric flair couldn't survive this , Okada would couldn't , no one can. Good damn every week we have big cass and jinder give these terrible terrible promo each on tv yet they been booked way better then bayley. She could be Shawn Michaels x okada x Ric flair no is suriving that levl of bad booking. And hey didn't lose faith in her they think they are doing a great job cause hey booking Daniel brayn to be a loser made him into a star let do the same to bayley.

They have to understand they can't reset button the Daniel Bryan YES movement and have it work with anyone.
It worked with him because of his talent, because of his connection with the audience and because he forced the issue.

It was a combination of all 3 of those elements AND happenstance that made that a thing because he literally WOULD have been buried and the wind taken out of his sails had CM Punk not walked out on his Mania program with Triple H.

So yeah... as usual, Vince didn't learn a damn thing about why it worked with him and why it doesn't work with anyone else.

But yeah, Bayley can't cut promos. Plenty of wrestlers have gotten over without that being an essential part of their makeup, though. Usually because the booking reinforces their strengths and masks their deficiencies. That worked with Jeff Hardy, RVD, Rey Mysterio and countless others who were weak on the mic.
