Ps4 first reveal with specs was February 20th 2013 before the November launch of that year. So Im not sure exactly what you want or why you need the full reveal sooner than previous generation one. Also, does it have to be even around the same time before launch as it was last time? Different strategies, different timeline. Also back then PS3 just took over the sales of the xbox. Playstation was destroying since day one the xbox brand this generation, they can do whatever they want. Its the second most successful SONY console, they dont need to repeat same things they did before. You sound like you are 12.

360 was leading in sales before sony started picking up due to exclusives like god of war and last of us, they had to invest in exclusives to beat the 360 as the 360 was a better performing console in multiplats vs the ps3, easier console for devs amd cheaper, thely learnt their lesson and its the reason why they made the ps4 easier for devs than xbone, cheaper than xbone and has better performance in multiplats + alot of proper exclusives.

And also theyve clearly said they arent ready to talk about the specs and its february, everything sounds fishy they showed us a dumb logo at ces and silly godfall. Not enough mate if this is sonys plan then its a rubbish plan.

You should probably calm down. They haven't even shown the product yet. Do you think they will go up to the release without expressing the date, details, launch titles etc? Be patient. They have a plan, and will follow it. Times changes, and so does the flow of information. The time during the PS4 launch is not the same as the time for the PS5 launch. You have to adapt, and that's what they have done.

I think they have the weaker console by a significant margin and are avoiding direct confrontation. Explains their absence from E3 as they don't want the PS5 to go head to head in a ring with the Series X.

I’ve been gaming for 30 years and it’s worrying the gaming community appears to be getting even more immature.

PS5 concern trolling is the latest example. It’s as if much of the community has no idea how the business of this industry operates. How the desire for 24/7 news on forums like this isn’t reflective of the wider consumer base etc.

Sony are in the process of selling PS4 hardware, PS4 software & PS4 services. 2019 was their second highest revenue generator ever at over $18bn. Double that of Xbox with a much stronger tail.

Before PS5 hits the market there are huge title like TLOU2 & FF7R due before summer is out. It makes every sense in the world to hold back further (significant) news until the summer.

Social Media and Forums like this are discussing PS5 24/7. Speculation generates hype. To the point the actually PS5 reveal (or even the reveals announce) will break the internet.

Ps3 beat the 360 at the end of the cycle but the 360 was outselling the ps3 from the start to even further at the mid of 360 and ps3 life cycle, its when the ps3 started producing more exclusives like god of war uncharted 3 kill zone and so forth that it started outselling the 360.
