I dont get the demands for a hard difficulty node.
Very often when you ask for an easier difficulty in soulslike games you get the same answer. "Its how the developer wish the game to be played / its ist meant to be played this way."
Why ist that not applicable with ffxvi. Its difficulty ist just the way the devs wanted the game to be played / to be experienced.

If you dont like it....not every game ist meant for all gamers.
