Sony Pictures Core sucks but Premium subscribers can watch Advent Children. I gotta do that before Rebirth at the end of February. As well as playing through Intermission and Crisis Core...ugh where am I gonna get the time for all this?

wife and I just finished our playthrough of OG FFVII last night and then watched AC. It was really interesting and I had forgotten a handful of specific scenes and lines from our playthrough a few years ago. Super stoked to play rebirth

Its a long game the OG, which is what makes it such an unforgettable journey!

So uh..

..Odds of this coming to Steam immediately the day after exclusivity ends on June 1?

..cheapest way to get a PS5 to play this..and will the PS5 Pro perform better than the standard PS5? I dunno if I can wait.

still not decided if I want normal version or deluxe :P
Guess wtf do I need that artbook for... and where am I going to play the mini soundtrack anyway gotta get mp3s on pc.

Very unlikely now but we need the announcement that it's gone gold! :messenger_grimmacing_

This is by FAR my most anticipated game this year (hell, probably my most anticipated announced game, even counting GTAVI) but I was kinda keeping my hype levels checked for the launch fearing a possible delay but I'm starting to dream. Been keeping a media blackout since the 2nd trailer (watched it maybe a couple of times and saw some newer screenshots here and there that I couldn't avoid) so I'm extremely excited to actually play the game.

I can't wait.

day one for me. this is why I own a PS5 lol.
Every new console I have bought starting from the PS2 and FF10 has been triggered by the anticipation of a new FF game. Whilst FF isn't as big as some of the other AAA games these days I think Sony knows there's a core fanbase of about 3-4mil people (based on how each big new FF game sells about this much within the first day/week/month of release) that'll jump on board the new gen if there's one coming. Hence why they always announce one at their event ahead of the new console launch.

I am one of those fans. I game on Playstation consoles since 1996 and FF was during the PS1 and PS2 era probably my most anticipated IP full stop. When XVI was unveiled with the PS5 I knew I would be on board again. Even though the quality of the IP sort of dwindled, I ended up disliking XVI even, I am there day one. FFVII Remake wasn't perfect either but I liked some beats of nostalgia in it, and visiting the same areas in detailed 3D.

Rebirth might end up doing better than Remake which came out during the pandemia and really late into the PS4 lifecycle. I think it will be a better game too, its pacing should be better by default as it doesn't stay into what was essentially the tutorial area.

FFVII for alot of people is there favourite game ever or the game that got them into gaming.

FFVII getting remade is like a once in a lifetime event I'am not sure what kind of game could top the Hype. Maybe Half Life 3 🤔

I think this one will be the best in trilogy exploring the open world for the first time will be hard to top.

Obviously Flying the Highwind will be hype in the next game but I'm not sure what else will match this entry.

I preordered the Twin Pack, which feels kinda stupid cause I just beat FF7 remake with intermission via PS+, but now I have "digital ownership".
Where does this Advent Children fit into the timeline? I don't want spoilers for Ever Crisis or the rest of FF7.

This is actually tricky to answer with those parameters

Edit: simple answer is Advent Children happens two years after the events of the original Final Fantasy VII
