As someone who finished wukong. The first battle in the game is probably the best battle outside of maybe the last battle.

And it was such a disappointment that you didn't fight him again.

With that being said. Astrobot winning is not right . Not saying it's not a great game because it really is. But from a technical standpoint point it's a joke compared to wukong and the others.

still, happy that Astrobot won anyway because this might give Sony the fuel to explore more and not stick to horizon crap
 
Dont worry BMW fans. Do what other fanbases do when an award doesnt come through. Compare sales.

Astrobot sold 1.5M as of last month. With and BF sale and Xmas coming, maybe it hits about 2M.

BMW has sold 20M copies as of October already.

That makes no sense? From a technical standpoint? Astrobot is giving platforming perfection at times….. absolutely it deserves to win from a technical standpoint. Unless you are talking about ultra realistic graphics, which basically makes anytime Nintendo win an issue lol.

Not that I think technical prowess should determine winning GOTY awards or not, but Astro Bot strikes me as a technical marvel. Immaculate image quality, a rock-solid framerate, lots of insane effects (especially water, snow, and particles), and whatever you call having ludicrous numbers of interactive objects on the screen at once.

With people loving to complain about main characters and stuff, how is this game popular? You play as a literal monkey, or am I missing something here?

I was going to pretend to be mad over Astro winning but when they got on stage and starting crooning over Nintendo I knew God had made the right decision. Praise be.
 
It's funny that after the shitstorm created by Elden Ring's DLC being included over the last month, it didn't end up winning a single award.

Some critics on the panel definitely ignored it on purpose.
