How does it work with cooling / heat / noise? It looks cool, but i've never seen a rig so open!

Its an like an open bench.
Even better cuz hes using an AIO for the CPU.
The GPU is eating super fresh air (hottest part of most systems)
The CPU is AIO cooled.
The VRMs arent really an issue these days no matter what uber clockers tell you.
SSD/chipsets/RAM dont really care about tempts either.


Want to knock a few degrees off your temps.
Just open your case.

Since this is a gathering of PC gamers......gotta question. Playing AC:S and my CPU is around 62 degrees. Does that seem high? Wondering if I should invest in a better cooler. Currently have the Thermalright Peerless Assassin Mini. The full size one wouldn't fit in my case. I've resisted using water cooling, but if this is running too hot, I might consider it.

62 degrees is a perfectly fine CPU temp while gaming.

If you're concerned about your CPU then do a couple of runs of cinebench r23 and see what your temps max out at.

Not really concerned now. I just recently added the CPU temp to the overlay because I'm using this smaller cooler. Appreciate the response.

I was getting better results with the 9800X3D but I have not overclock the GPU so maybe I can go higher

My OC'd 5900x is still putting in great work. Stable OC at 4.7 on all cores I had it at 4.8 for awhile but would temperamental on hot days. I was really hoping that AMD would do cache on both chiplets this gen, I love the extra cores for stuff outside of gaming.

I could probably push my 3090ti further, I have before but I only ended up getting like 2-5 fps more in games and random instability.
