Is the PS5 rest mode broken for someone else here? Dunno why but the game clock keeps running when I put the PS5 on rest. My game time is already at 150 hours… But I actually only played around 15 hours.
Steam or GP? Do XESS or FSR exhibit the same issue?Using DLSS and have awful ghosting an objects when panning the camera or moving. Most noticeable when using a bow or when moving past foliage, its a big fucking smear of textures and looks terrible. When I went to display options, game just straight up crashed.
As much as I absolutely adore Oblivion, this is now starting to test my patience. 5 crashes in 10 hours, it might not sound too much but when you run the same dungeon twice it starts to become frustrating.
Fix your fucking shit Bethesda/Virtuous!
The ghosting seems to be more related to Lumen than anything else.Using DLSS and have awful ghosting an objects when panning the camera or moving. It takes a while to get used to as you don't get given a laundry list of quests by just walking past people talking like in Fallout 4 or Starfield. The first hour was pure joy, then after three more hours I wanted to quit, because speaking to people in towns felt pointless as they all said the same things and nobody had side quests for me, but now I'm fifteen hours in with more quests than I can manage and staying up late to play more haAhaHAhahA
I'm using Special K to force DLSS auto exposure, and have also forced DLSS 4 preset J via inspector. It pretty much gets rid of the ghosting.Using DLSS and have awful ghosting an objects when panning the camera or moving. Hmmm. Can't seem to get 'The Brotherhood Betrayed' side quest progressing. Nobody will speak to me in the house with the body, I've searched the body, I've spoke to everyone in the town, I've been at the Inn. The compass leads me back to the first house with the body (green - speak to person - but nobody speaks), and as soon as I enter it turns red to lead me back outside.
Bugged?
I've raised dispositions on everyone I can. I'll try the fast forward approach! If you've talked to everyone and some options stll show like they haven't been exhausted, you might need to raise that person's disposition to 70 to get further stuff.
If not, exit the area, go somewhere and fast forward the time a couple of in-game days and return.
I waited to i was around level 12 or so. I just hadn't gotten there and everyone got wrecked. Saw all the memes about how all the soldiers are God tier but I waited way too long to go there. Oops. Those bigger daemons were bastards at 1st. Now I'm level 21 so I can deal with themSo it did the kvatch quest kind early. I'm level 2. Should I have saved this for later? I saw an oblivion gate in the wild. Should I load an earlier save or whatever it doesn't really matter. Crazy it's like the 3rd step in the main quest!
I wonder when we will get Optimized Drivers from Nvidia for Oblivion Remastered?
This is indeed a bug they are aware of. Workaround us not spamming and having some seconds inbetween.Guess it's not just a random crash, seems anytime I try to spam create potions it just has the fatal error. At least I can avoid doing that.
All questlines in Oblivion are safe to do at any time, they don't overlap or mess up other guild quests. Though there are benefits of for example doing all the mage's guild quests before doing thieves guild quests, because couple of the thieves guild quests become way easier then.Few questions, I'm about 10 hours in.
I've mainly been focusing the main story to see if I can roll credits on an ES game for once.
That said is there a "point of no return" I need to watch out for at all if I wanted to do specific side content?
Can I be locked out of certain quests if I progress the main story too far?
Where do I get the deluxe edition armor?
I went with being an archer. I'm curious how armor works in this game. I assume light armor sets are my best bet and never use heavy even if it looks super sexy?
How do I enchant gear?
Can I craft equipment? If so, how?
I just figured out a novice mortar lets me do alchemy. Any other items I should get?
Is strength a must stat in all builds just to have inventory?

Lastly, I'm on ps5 pro and when I did my first oblivion gate in performance mode the game really shit the bed fps wise throughout. Has there been any confirmation of the benefits of quality mode and is it more stable?
I did notice that mocap and lip sync seem to be fucked up in performance mode. Lips often don't match up or are over stretched, yet in 30 fps it's perfect.
Thanks in advance to anyone that tackles this stuff to answer a noob to the franchise.
Yea right buddy! Is the PS5 rest mode broken for someone else here? Dunno why but the game clock keeps running when I put the PS5 on rest. My game time is already at 150 hours… But I actually only played around 15 hours.
I also have a question. Do i need to clear out the Oblivion gates? I came across some of them while traveling but i always leave them behind.
You get an item called a sigil stone for completing them you can use to enchant weapons and armour without using an enchantment table, each sigil stone has different enchantment effectsI also have a question. You monster.
My advice dont bother with the mq.too.muchSo it did the kvatch quest kind early. I'm level 2. Should I have saved this for later? I saw an oblivion gate in the wild. Should I load an earlier save or whatever it doesn't really matter. Crazy it's like the 3rd step in the main quest!
It certainly beats brainlessly following a waypoint to every destination. It can be frustrating at times though, I've used a guide for one quest as I had no idea whether I was just lost or it was Bethesda jank. The one thing I like about Oblivion, over Skyrim, is that you need to use the grey matter a lot more to progress with certain quests. It has that old-school, 'here's a clue, go and figure it out yourself' kind of vibe. I feel like this has been lost in most modern RPGs. An early example is figuring out where to go by following the clues from 4 books. I always enjoy a eureka moment in a game.
Had a good laugh, thanks mate.Yea right buddy!
Yeah it's not perfect, the final thieves guild quest might as well have been an FFX cloister dungeon (and I don't mean the easy ones). It can be frustrating at times though, I've used a guide for one quest as I had no idea whether I was just lost or it was Bethesda jank.
Yeah there was one quest where I was stuck so I googled it and it turns out you have to step on these rows of floor switches in a specific order in order to get the door to open and I was like "How could I have possibly known that lol"It certainly beats brainlessly following a waypoint to every destination. Beat that quest a couple of days ago, it was definitely frustrating. Don't remember being so bad when I played it on the 360, but that was years ago.Yeah it's not perfect, the final thieves guild quest might as well have been an FFX cloister dungeon (and I don't mean the easy ones).
There was most likely some book or writing on the wall with some very vague hints.Yeah there was one quest where I was stuck so I googled it and it turns out you have to step on these rows of floor switches in a specific order in order to get the door to open and I was like "How could I have possibly known that lol"
Not sure, I was walking around in circles for a while lolThere was most likely some book or writing on the wall with some very vague hints.![]()
That's actually the quest I was talking about. I had no idea how to fire the arrow. Not to mention I had just naruto ran through the entire dungeon because of the insane amount of high level enemies in there.Yeah it's not perfect, the final thieves guild quest might as well have been an FFX cloister dungeon (and I don't mean the easy ones).
Was half kidding. I love these old games with their sometimes complete ridiculous riddles and puzzles. When you play them nowadays....I am also always thinking...how did we manage these games 20-30 years ago without internet. Do we really get dumber and dumber!?Not sure, I was walking around in circles for a while lol
PC bro, IDK why this helped me, but I gained lots of frames by doing this:
You probably did the smart thing, because fighting everything and making sure I didn't aggro over 3 enemies at a time, lengthens the quest almost 2-3x and it didn't feel worth it.That's actually the quest I was talking about. I had no idea how to fire the arrow. Not to mention I had just naruto ran through the entire dungeon because of the insane amount of high level enemies in there.
Pretty nice watch!
I followed this easy guideWas sleeping in the game and got bit by a vampire. Should I just roll with it?
Looked up some vids and it seems a bit of a mixed bag on if you should cure it or embrace it.
Vampirism is great in Oblivion IMO - just feed every couple of days, otherwise mostly a stat boost. I like it, anyway. Was sleeping in the game and got bit by a vampire. Should I just roll with it?

Did the same thing. As a level 1So it did the kvatch quest kind early. I'm level 2. Should I have saved this for later? I saw an oblivion gate in the wild. Should I load an earlier save or whatever it doesn't really matter. Crazy it's like the 3rd step in the main quest!
what a bummer since I feel in my head narrative saving him and letting him chill in the base up north was going to be my kick off point to fuck aroundMy advice dont bother with the mq.too.much
