And lets look at direct quote from the dev in the article:
…when we got the Switch 2 hardware, we were surprised in a good way about how smooth the process was for us to bring the existing development version of the game to that platform. It just made sense that we felt that we don't need to wait on this one or do a separate project after the main game, we can just bring the main game to this hardware immediately.
So not a word about how powerful switch2 was, just how smooth was porting process, which means switch2 has modern features (its 2020 nvidia tech, duh), not that it is any kind of powerful
First video in OP consisted of nothing but comparing Switch 2 to a Steam Deck in real time -you know, a class of device that has to literally carry its own weight around.
Maybe he just didn't have a 3060 or 5090 in the house for the video -because he never said he was comparing handhelds. The Deck was just convenient. Why don't we just compare PS5 to a supercomputer? No one specified after all. lol
Being easy to port to a handheld means having enough power to use the existing version without having to pay Panic Button to downport it. Switch 2 isn't that powerful compared to desktops, or if you take out the stuff that help it run modern games as a thin tablet consuming 18 watts...
I am frustrated with Nintendo's other shenanigans but on a per-issue basis, they have the hardware. It's good. Look how long it even takes to load the PC version of Outlaws in that video, it's like a few whole minutes. It's not a big deal to some, but this is the only way to play this game getting right back into the action, without being tethered to a power brick/console. I'm not personally rushing out because the game still seems meh, but I'm not going out of my way to diss that as a performance accomplishent either. It's very good.

I did a pixel count on the video and found it's rendering 8K 60FPS, I got some factory photos of the game case and key-card and I did some pixel counting on the key-card and boxart as well and it confirms 8K60FPS from my tests

They use software to do it with footage of gameplay, not off screen footage.

I mean, how/why do you think it could possibly be wrong at the point he's doing the counting? It's literally one second of footage and shows obvious in-game movement in every single one of the 60 frames in that second. That's not to claim it's a locked 60fps game or anything, just that it's 60 at that one part at least so it's targeting 60fps. You literally can't get the count wrong this way, it's just too much work to count the whole thing manually and find the average, potential drops etc. (exactly because it's off screen so an automatic counter would count the dude's fingers moving at 60fps).

I mean, I could be wrong and so is the guy in the video but that footage was smooth and moved very well! At worst, it's a locked and very smooth 30fps.

I don't care as long as we have moved on from the cloud versions on the original Switch.I really love that all Resident Evil Games are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2
Let's hope that the Physical Realeases are not on Game Key Cards!!!

But isn't the only potential for a Youtube video to be missing frames? Are we afraid Youtube added info that wasn't there before? Unless his method was just intentionally bad, but that has nothing to do with the source?
