AC shadows is gorgeous but they got their inspiration from ghost of tsushima and it shows. No coincidence that shadows started development after tsushimas success.

I'm 15 hours in and i have yet to see anything woke about it.

If anything, the over all tone of the game reminds me of Kill Bill, which is anything but woke.

Ghost of tsushima and ghost of yotei have combat that actually makes you feel like a samurai. It has a nice weight to it, and every action you take gives you momentum either forward or backwards. Every weapon has a purpose and it just feels great to control your character and use them.

Maybe it would have been a hero shooter until they saw what happened to Concord. That's a pointless route to go down though, it is what it is no matter what might have been at some point or another. PS4 had sold twice what PS5 has right now by the time GoT came out in summer 2020. Add to that the fact that physical has gone down significantly since 2020 and gaming saw a boom during lockdown, the difference is not that surprising.

Do you really think a game as polished and with as strong/coherent a creative direction as Ghost of Yotei suddenly changed its plans 11 months before release because of Veilguard?
