Myles turning into a Marvel dialog spewing Jewish motorcycle would be peak cinema.
Concord was a new franchise with zero fanbase and received a 62 in MC... While the Prime series is a niche franchise, the fans knows that are going to receive a top quality game... Still a valid comparison, but not a good one. That's true, but "any publicity is good publicity" doesn't often hold true in gaming. Concord's infamy didn't do it any favors, for example. Obviously, we'll see how it goes before too long, but I can't imagine controversy being their intended strategy.
Fine, substitute with Ass Creed Shadows, Veilguard, or whatever other western AAA that's shot themselves in the foot for no good reason in the last couple of years.Concord was a new franchise with zero fanbase and received a 62 in MC... Those are popular franchises, like i said Metroid is a niche franchise that needs more exposure, especially with the younger audience and Myles Mackenzie is doing exactly that.Fine, substitute with Ass Creed Shadows, Veilguard, or whatever other western AAA that's shot themselves in the foot for no good reason in the last couple of years.
This reminds of me the old clip where George Lucas talks about creating Jar Jar Binks to appeal to his kids.Metroid is a niche franchise that needs more exposure, especially with the younger audience and Myles Mackenzie is doing exactly that.
i haven't played that game. i played the original on the cube. i am talking about what i am seeing on this game.Do you think that MP1 remaster looks ancient or have a bad animations?
You should give it a try then…i haven't played that game. i played the original on the cube. i am talking about what i am seeing on this game.

Out of the two 'versions' I assume this is by far the more fan-pleasing one, despite the new additions.I would really like to see what this game looked like prior to Retro taking over in 2019. What did Nintendo not like? Did they see the success of BoTW and say Metroid needs to appeal to a larger audience?
I am hoping Myles gets own game lol...Nobody is excited for Myles. Some of us just don't get worked up over a side character that will most likely disappear as quickly as he shows up.
Plus, if it is true that voiceacting can be disabled then this will help immensely with such annoyances.
Don't loose hope guys.
Holy cherry picking batman! It seems you have no idea what you were talking about.
Geometric complexity - MP4 exhibits superior and higher complexity from character models to environmental structures than Halo 5 and Shadow Fall
NPCs, take a look at screens again.

This kind of drive by posting is the worst. Doesn't explain how they came to this conclusion, just says "it will suck" and leaves.Metroid Prime 4 = Metroid Other M 2
Sucks ass

The issue with Other M's story was how it treated Samus and gameplay was it didn't play like Metroid.
Samus was forced to obey a captain she no longer worked under, limited because he said so, not because she didn't have the upgrade. Samus having the most stilted dialog and CONSTANTLY talking to herself.
Gameplay was distinctly linear. Every save point told you exactly where to go and you weren't allowed to skip them. The game filled every part of the map for you and rarely did you ever leave the beaten path. It was just a Team Ninja action game similar to Ninja Gaiden.
So far only person we've seen talk a lot is Myles and he has a scan entry saying he talks a lot. No one else is like that and it would seem he's just a tutorial. Samus herself NEVER talks. And the gameplay is very much Metroid Prime. In everyone's preview videos, you're alone adventuring in silence for the majority of it.
So how about you tell us why this game is anything like Other M?
I enjoyed it. 8/10 shitpost, would sensibly chuckle again. Highlight: "Sucks ass". Succinct and eloquent. This kind of drive by posting is the worst. Doesn't explain how they came to this conclusion, just says "it will suck" and leaves.
Ok, i started playing Metroid Prime Remater for the first time ever ( never played the OG ), i m a couple hours in and asking myself "wtf i m not getting ? why everyone brags soo much about this game ?"
Honest question, it ll get better as i keep playing it ? why bother to make a FPS game with auto aim ? and its all the prizes cause it has amazing puzzles ( cause the auto aim kills all the action for me ) ?
Again, i never played this back in the day and now i have a boat load of gaming baggage to compare this game against it.
You can shut off auto aiming. Hope that helps.Ok, i started playing Metroid Prime Remater for the first time ever ( never played the OG ), i m a couple hours in and asking myself "wtf i m not getting ? why everyone brags soo much about this game ?"

This game is more like an aim bot, it ll lock on the target and stay there, its not like other consoles shoters. All shooters on console now contain autoaim, Metroid is just honest about it.
didnt know that, ll give a look on the options, thanks. You can shut off auto aiming. Hope that helps.
You can?? How will we do "fast strafe left/right"??You can shut off auto aiming. Hope that helps.
It's not an option on other Prime games.didnt know that, ll give a look on the options, thanks.

Honest questions. It ll get better as i keep playing it, like, it has a deep lore and story that ll keep me engaged even if the combat kind suck ? why bother to make a FPS game with auto aim ? and are the puzzles something really really out this world that makes this game so good that everything else in secondary ?

It's been coined as "first person adventure" rather than shooter for that very reason. Shooting is secondary, it's more about the abilities, exploration, scanning, puzzle solving etc.Ok, i started playing Metroid Prime Remater for the first time ever ( never played the OG ), i m a couple hours in and asking myself "wtf i m not getting ? why everyone brags soo much about this game ?"

This shit again?? Shooting things is the most you do in the games excluding obviously moving forward. Combat is a giant part of the game.Metroid is not a combat game, it is an Exploration/Puzzle game with some combat
Yeah i dont, i played super metroid back in the days and thats it, im trying to get back into this franchise since it has a lot of good word of mouth around it, i m playing Dread too and i m liking it, but i think my expectations for Prime were a bit too high.Metroid is not a combat game, it is an Exploration/Puzzle game with some combat, you go through it observing the environments, scanning and soaking on the lore with a couple fights here and there.
There are more challenging parts ahead, like the Phazon Mines.
Maybe you haven't played other games in the series, what you're saying is like expecting Call of Duty in a Silent Hill game.
So, its basicaly a first person Super Metroid/ Dread ?It's been coined as "first person adventure" rather than shooter for that very reason. Shooting is secondary, it's more about the abilities, exploration, scanning, puzzle solving etc.
The fist game in particular has an amazing structure imo, there's a lot of backtracking but by the end the entire game just feels like one huge level that you know every nook and cranny of and seamlessly traverse by memory. Pretty much exactly what I'd expect from a 'metroidvania' in 3D. I feel like that got a bit lost in later titles.
"Prime Hack" is where you can be more free of the brain dead auto aim, but sadly you still can only "fast strafe" while locked on enemies.didnt know that, ll give a look on the options, thanks.
i saw the Prime Hack on PC, i may give it a try since it uses mouse for aiming."Prime Hack" is where you can be more free of the brain dead auto aim, but sadly you still can only "fast strafe" while locked on enemies.
You could say the same about the 2D Metroid games yet they're not labeled 2D shooters. It's action/adventure and/or 'metroidvania'.This shit again?? Shooting things is the most you do in the games excluding obviously moving forward. Combat is a giant part of the game.
Reddit user spottedYou got to love it when the wankers come out and try their hardest to lure in the simple minded folk with reactionary videos like that. I'm embarrassed for anyone that actually watched that or anything with a thumbnail like it.
Be a better person. Watch step-mom porn instead.
Also Metroid Primes VR on Dolphin VR if you don't have motion sickness "easily".i saw the Prime Hack on PC, i may give it a try since it ll use mouse for aiming.
How are they labeled is irrelevant. Imagine saying shooting is not also the one of the most actions if not the most you do on 2D Metroids. You could say the same about the 2D Metroid games yet they're not labeled 2D shooters. It's action/adventure and/or 'metroidvania'.
Yeah, the original intention was always to translate the 2D games into 3D, and the result was Metroid Prime. So, its basicaly a first person Super Metroid/ Dread ?
Sadly without speed booster. So, its basicaly a first person Super Metroid/ Dread ?
I've never used redit. What made you think that?Reddit user spotted

at least now i ll manage my expectation about what this game has to offer, cause i was just getting a little annoyed for not getting why everyone goes crazy about this one.Sadly without speed booster.![]()
I don't think anyone means that's not what you do. It's rather where the main focus of the game is. That's what I mean at least. I probably scanned and shot doors and various objects in the environment more than I shot at actual enemies. Late game you usually just run past enemies to get to a specific section rather than engage. How are they labeled is irrelevant. Imagine saying shooting is not also the one of the most actions if not the most you do on 2D Metroids.
If you're complaining about the shooting and combat in a Metroid game, you should go play something else.
On a Metroid Prime game only as 2D Metroids don't have any problems with the shooting. And thanks, but I play the much better Prime Hack and Prime VR and will play MP4 with the mouse. If you're complaining about the shooting and combat in a Metroid game, you should go play something else.

Yeah but there is also no "need" in being 100% brain dead with the auto aim. The fast strafe could be with another button or double press left/right.Intense, fast paced, and precise shooting has never been the focal point of Metroid. All one would need to do is compare NES Metroid to NES Contra to see the different design philosophy. Both are shooters.
It has shooting. It's a core part of the gameplay. So people can, you know, comment and have views on that.

Gladly MP3 made things better plus the immersion. So this will be a downgrade in gameplay almost everywhere on normal controls. And good thing we have a mouse mode. Its origins lie with that stupid fucking GameCube controller layout so they had to make lemonade out of lemons. If there is any consolation Prime 4 seems to require higher dexterity shooting if the tutorial boss is anything to go by.
