Monitoring the situation in Iran

That's because they are WATCHdogs, not guard dogs. My chihuahua/min-pin, as well as my yorkie/maltese, both yap like crazy, but ONLY when 'their' humans are around. Their sole job is to wake me up in time to get strapped before the danger closes in. They don't bark in an empty house, nor do they attack (as if that would do anything anyway).
Huh, guess I never thought of that since I've never really been around little dogs my whole life.

Guess I should have played those Watch Dogs games, huh? 🤷‍♂️

It helps to understand the dogs instincts, is all. Those little things aren't (all) made to be lapdogs, but rather catch to rats and be an early warning system. If someone thinks they can break into my home "'cause all they have is a little dog"......well, it ain't the dog that you gotta worry about. But they also don't reliably bark when no one is home, so someone can knock on the door and may not trigger a response because there is no one around for them to alert. Worth testing to see if this is the case just so you know.

I'll have to try that out this weekend, thanks for the tip man!

Right now I am at a mall and in the McD near me is a young Muslim couple. It angers me to see a woman so draped in black from head to toe, seems almost a prisoner. Even her hands were covered with black gloves. Only her eyes were visible through a small slit. And it was hot here.
How a religion can treat fellow humans like that , I will never understand.
Well they kinda are prisoners. Essentially all the "wives" in Islam exist to give birth to children so they often don't even care about themselves. But that's why men often attack women from other groups as it is kinda allowed.

Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale was significantly inspired by the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, which transformed a modernizing state into a strict theocracy, reducing women's rights and imposing mandatory dress codes. The dystopian Republic of Gilead mirrors the Iranian regime's suppression of women, including forced veiling, segregation, and loss of legal autonomy.
Yet these western room-temp "feminists" propagate it towards "the other side" showing their blissful ignorance and downright stupidity.

Western feminists believe that they can change things they don't like in the religion. Like "you should not act that way". They just too used to western men just not holding them accountable. They just don't realize that unless there is a political will they will get only beatings, stoning and inability to vote :messenger_tears_of_joy:

It is basically the issue with their ability to vote - women can vote enmasse for things they are never held accountable for, because in the end it is the men who are going to die in trenches or fighting illegals, while they are hiding in their houses and gated community or benefiting from the biased judiciary system.

"It's just a piece of cloth."

They don't even try with them. In fact, I see all over social media, stupid western white women now wearing hijabs as some form of protest against "the other side." :pie_eyeroll:

Room temp.

Imagine women in the west, fighting for a century to get the same rights as men, just so they then support the most misogynistic religion in existence.
This is as dumb as a gazelle rooting for the lion.

Never bring a sword to a carrier strike group fight.

I should stop taking these daft images so literally. Also if they're not using local LLMs then kudos to them getting around Sora/Geminis content policy restrictions 😆

This shows the lack of cultural awareness for effective propaganda. Or that the target of such an image isn't Americans/Westerners, but rather their own people.

To an American, the flag, still flying despite war and chaos around it, is LITERALLY in our anthem, so to show it in such a manner is actually INSPIRATIONAL to us, though maybe to Persians it is not.

Isn't it just crazy that when we were growing up women were pushing to be seen more than just a skirt sitting at a desk as a secretary.

The sexual revolution of the 80s where women pushed out of boxes and claimed themselves to be just as equal. Kathy Ireland on every poster, while Cindy Crawford rocked makeup, playboy that I had to explain to my children was my wife's subscription, hustler, etc, etc.

Now, we have women protesting to have no rights, be covered so other men don't rape you, pure slavery, etc. That say ole white men will make women the "Handmaid's Tale", when they can just look outside and at Islam while they protest in support of it.

I may have mistaken the slide into Idiocracy happening, we are in the belly of the beast and are in some serious trouble.

ISRAEL HAYOM: The US, in close coordination with Israel and several Gulf partners, has assembled a comprehensive target bank for potential strikes on Iran. Intelligence sharing has surged, with planning focused not just on opening blows, but on follow on strikes designed to paralyze regime command, IRGC infrastructure, and recovery capabilities. The objective is maximum strategic damage, not a one time hit.At the same time, Washington is waging a financial war on the IRGC. Intelligence has traced billions quietly moved out of Iran by senior regime and IRGC figures into foreign accounts. With the IRGC now designated a terrorist organization in Europe, those funds are increasingly vulnerable to freezes and seizures. Because IRGC controlled entities dominate more than one third of Iran's economy, cutting off this cash directly hits military procurement, salaries, and the regime's ability to function.

The scope of build-up, the ongoing talks by neighboring stakeholders, Rubio's testimony yesterday, a plane departing Tehran to Moscow this morning, and so forth has me revoking my original belief on what will happen. All of this points to a serious attempt at regime change. Unlike Afghanistan, Iraq, or other scenarios, Iran's population wants said liberation as demonstrated by the nationwide protests. I hope the administration succeeds, and that there's enough missile defense in place to counter any of Iran's bullshit retaliation attempts to try to take everyone else down with them.

Civilian targets in Israel are the biggest danger, but everyone's prepared over there now to take shelter at least.

Rather than, unlike Iraq there is no indication that they are planning to drag it for far too long and also this time they have measures in place to maybe forcing the hand of the local elite to get rid of IRGCs.

The UK I assume will be helping to shoot down all the retaliatory missiles going into Israel and Qatar, the sort of thing I would expect from Starmer, enough to be involved but not upset his champagne socialist buddies.

But all sign point to this happening, fuck knows how this will all play out but it looks like they are going to try and take out the IRGC and the Ayatollah once and for all. 😲

The question is when. I guess this weekend? At one point they should do something.

Recently the US armed forces seem to like to give the opposition the run around first, ware them down with being on high alert and then strike.

So going by what's happened in the past, a few days of buzzing Iran, a deception from 1 direction and then rain hell down on them from the other. The weekend is a good guess.
