The most anticipated games (according to IGDB)

IGDB is a game database that not only catalogs games, but also has list features where many users can wishlist games they're interested in. They even have a top 100 most anticipated games list which gauges that interest, and felt it was interesting enough to share here, in regards to getting a little more insight as to what games are getting "hyped" more than others and why they're getting on so many lists: https://www.igdb.com/top-100/anticipated

This list doesn't seem that useful outside of the top 10. No Marvel Tokon or Subnautica 2 at all? It also has the later Tomb Raider game. If backloggd had a compiled list, it would probably be more accurate.

Mixtape at #30. Interesting to see that game in a list somewhere.
Where's the Tomb Raider Atlantis Reboot?

I've got a couple on this list in my own Steam Wishlist Pragmata, Control Resonate.

Never heard of this site tbh.

3 already played GTA VI

14.) Exodus (2027) - 236 lists

This is the only one I am actually hyped about. Owlcat is a great dev, Expanse is awesome and ME style Space Opera from this mix is very promising.

Top 5

1. Elder Scrolls VI

2. Fallout 5

3. Grand Theft Auto Vi

4. The big upcoming Starcraft game

5. Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake

Honorable mentions to Witcher 4, Resident Evil 9, Stellar Blade 2, Tides of Annnhilation, Dawn of War 4, and Final Fantasy VII Remake part

Beast of Reincarnation and Star Wars: Galactic Racer are the only games I remotely even care about on that list

I'm pretty much only hyped for these titles

Tales of Berseria Remastered
Tokon Fighting Souls
Ananta
Neverness to Everness
Ironwing Valiant
Kingmakers
DOA7

50 games and I care about less than 7, lol. 😅
  1. Tides of Annihilation
  2. Slay the Spire 2
  3. Onimusha
  4. Crimson Desert
  5. Beast of Reincarnation
  6. Mouse P.I
  7. Phantom Blade 0
Those are my 7 not including some indie games I would like to check out. I'm not really surprised being honest. I mostly disagree with it, but I've come to expect that most normies would hate the games I like and vice versa

In the valley of the gods... a literal dead game that showed no real gameplay

Higher than Saros

List is a sham
Literally never heard of it until you mentioned it. Looked it up, saw the MC and overall description of the game, and immediately noped out.

As far as everything else, I'm surprised Fable is as high as it is while Forza and especially Gears being that low. Wolverine and Slay the Spire 2's placement is also a little surprising. I am kinda glad that Crimson Desert and Phantom Blade 0 are pretty high, probably the only ones I agree with.

Let me hear em. As someone who's upcoming AAA games I'm interested in are from 95% China and South Korean, I'd love to hear about some good Japanese games coming out.
  • Decapolice
  • Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave
  • Persona 4 Revival
  • Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
  • The Duskbloods
  • Trails in the Sky Second Chapter Remake
  • The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
Just a few off the top of my head.

Prob apparent by now that the list only lists games with a specific release year, which Intergalactic doesn't have.
It doesn't say that anywhere and it also doesn't make sense to exclude officially announced games, especially when many won't meet the date and there's even one listed for 2029. But ultimately, it could of course be as you say; it just isn't a good list then.

It's a funny list, when you see games like Replaced and Mouse: P.I. for Hire above Wolverine and Forza Horizon 6, or Ontos about Gears of War: E-Day!
I'm not talking about quality, and Replaced has a good place in list of my most anticipated games too, but come on! Popularity of a character like Wolverine or an IP like Forza Horizon with tens of millions of players aren't comparable to those games.

Nice to this game high up. For me the demo is was soooo good, easily one of my most hype game this year.
I have exactly the same. There's something about the vibe in that game that just grabs me in. Can't wait to play the full game. Just debating myself if I should get it for PS5 or PC. PC is obviously the "better" version hardware wise, but my console is gathering dust for a while now.

Aside from that I obviously await Crimson Desert and hope it's as good as what's been shown. Plenty of games to look out for on that list, just in the same or any order.

I tend to anticipate new IP's way more.

What part of GTA6 am I supposed to be excited about? We haven't seen single gameplay from this game….am I suppose to excited about "pretty graphics"?
If you loved the prior 5 games with horrid gameplay, worse control and somehow even worse gunplay where the only gimmick is a bland open world and "we have Good Fellas at home" story, surely as hell you'll love this one!

Personally I'm holding my hopes for that barbarian language with agglutinating words game to come to PS5.

Exodus isn't an Owlcat game. You're thinking of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
Yeah, he is mixing it up. Exodus is being made by Archetype Entertainment....however being published by Wizards of the Coast. So my expectations are not very high on this one. :messenger_pensive:
