And also not understanding what's really happening with this DLSS 5 "muh reshade filter".Is it really damage control or just clarification for the people making wild assumptions?
I think the strong reactions comes from the fact that they look like every other AI generated characters out there. This demo blew me away. The hate seems a little overreacted? I can't tell if other factors are cross-contaminating the reaction like Nvidia's prices skyrocketing, general AI fatigue and over-emphasis, RAM inflation, "fake frames" etc.
Just looking at the side by side in Starfield it's beyond impressive how much better it looks
Honestly, I feel like this was rushed out before it was ready. Probably should have waited a bit longer. Are they now saying Bethesda had full detailed artistic control over the bullshit they showed? Because....lol
Cool tech. Horrible demo.
Haters gonna hate anyway

Pretty much this. To the point where I don't really know who it's for.Honestly, I feel like this was rushed out before it was ready. Probably should have waited a bit longer.
I can see this tech being very useful for developers, but the reaction to what was presented is deserved.
My guess is investors. They needed a pie-in-the-sky new thing to get folks talking about Nvidia again. And boy, is everyone talking.Pretty much this. To the point where I don't really know who it's for.

That's the thing. Anyone using this is going to be running the latest and greatest bleeding edge tech.My guess is investors. They needed a pie-in-the-sky new thing to get folks talking about Nvidia again. And boy, is everyone talking.
Of note, I realize the potential of this tech as it matures, but who exactly is going to be seeing any of this degree of detail in-game beyond a fraction of a fraction of a percent who can afford to game with two 5090s in their PC or whatever? Hardware costs are insane already as is, and then on top of that, are we cool with having our hardware pulling high-end microwave oven levels of wattage during gaming sessions? The electric bills are going to be fun.

What about a dad? With a mom fix the thread so it isn't as sarcastic or I'm not sure if the topic Creator or is actually poking in front of them video or inadvertently that's all but can't the news just be reported straight up without some sarcastic thread title.

That's what people said about electric cars in the states. The problem is that people have to spend money to buy the product. If they don't, then it cooked.Haters gonna hate anyway

Same.I don't care who has control, I don't like that AI slop look and will always turn it off.
Apples and oranges, if all cars produced were electric you wouldn't have a choice. That's what's going to happen with GPUs.That's what people said about electric cars in the states. The problem is that people have to spend money to buy the product. If they don't, then it cooked.
Graphics have gotten better yet according to the data, people are instead playing old games and remasters.
…Until you can't.I don't care who has control, I don't like that AI slop look and will always turn it off.
Wrong, the choice is to not buy period. Many people are choosing to do that now. Save their money and substitute gaming for other hobbies.Apples and oranges, if all cars produced were electric you wouldn't have a choice. That's what's going to happen with GPUs.
And people might skip RTX 6000/7000. But soon or later they wont have a choice if they want to keep playing games. And of course AMD will follow the same path, trying as always to catch up.
The AI will simply look like something that Capcom hasn't made. The AI look a lot better IMO
