This is the correct response right now.As I said in the other thread, in a few years this outrage will seem ridiculous and quaint.
Is the tech perfect? No.
Will it get better? Yes.
Will everyone use it? Not at first, but eventually, those aiming for photorealism will, or they will be left behind.
That is way too glossy for a horror game - the muted colours are more appropriate for mood and realism. No comic book artist or film cinematographer would make that choice. If used correctly it does look not that bad tbh.:

This more or less destroys the artistic nature of graphic design to substitute it with a great looking but generic AI wash off based on some same libraries and effects.
Can be useful, sometimes, but if every game looks like this I will go the ones that don't look like this and have their own distinct look.

I'd need to know more about the tech personally. If this is used for the final rendered output I;m not sure how much control devs would really have over it (even though they say devs will be able to tune it). Also if there is no way to use it without it killing your initial artistic vision then they should definitely not use it.As I said in the other thread, in a few years this outrage will seem ridiculous and quaint.

If these visuals were shown as a Resident Evil Requiem Remake or something instead of a DLSS 5 showcase, Those "AI Slop" spammers would be losing their minds calling it 'true next-gen graphic.' lol
except it looks nothing like Van Dijk, the player its based on, AI just 'made it up', the non AI version at least looks a little like himThe Liverpool football player looks like a real life football player. The future is now.
Within reason of course.
This is a very good analogyThis is to game art direction what auto tune was to pop music
Bro. It's optionalAnd every game needs photorealism?????
Fkn hell m8

Bro. It's optional
But hey just in case, don't worry they still have games for you :
Yeah and lets make all the other games look exactly the same
You shouldnt want AI slop to be optional either
well we are reaching that point with UE5 already and that isn't even using AI.Yeah and lets make all the other games look exactly the same
Yeah I would 100% play that tbh.this looks good imo

Are you brain-damaged or something? I never said anywhere that every game needs photorealism. I said those games aiming for it, will use it.And every game needs photorealism?????

Yep, people that are at least interested in this tech don't flood Twitter or whatever like some drama queens. That poll result just reveals how loud the vocal minority is…
It's a future I foresee coming true very soon with the push to make the Chinese dev scene even larger.imagine ue6 and dlss5 !! Every game can have thatt samey look
It also reveals how most people can't do math. That poll result just reveals how loud the vocal minority is…
With UE6 and DLSS 5 every game can now look the same! Arent we excited!?!?
Is it just Americans with bad taste or???? Unironically only see American tech bro's loving this trashfire
