Monitoring the situation in Iran

If it's such an easy military operation to open the Strait, why does the US not do it? US is already "there". Just another dot point on their list of "objectives" to tick off surely. No help needed has been stated ad nauseam.
Because they will smoke 100 people, 99 of whom are terrorists actively trying to blow up civilian cargo, but 1 is the wife of a terrorist, fully on board with his actions, and she'll be there cooking and cleaning for them and get blown up as well. But the media will pull her out of context and say the US is killing 'totally innocent iranians' and turn it into a huge PR incident.

This is fan fiction.

Extreme cope. You're claiming this cunt Trump of all people gives a single shit about PR? Lmao...

Won't this fuck with their water? This seems like a huge escalation for a war that was "complete". Civilians are the ones that will suffer the most from this.
Bold of you to assume that the Trump administration gives a single shit about the oppressed Iranian citizens.
We all know, that bombing a regime and leaving fixes absolutely zero problems, and succeeds only in breeding more zealots as their nation's infrastructure is torn to pieces. We've made this mistake how many times in the Middle East?

Iran would rather face a physical death than a ideological one. This war will only be finished imo with a complete capitulation of Iran by American ground troops or something else major.

yeah, I don't think Trump understands that they don't care about their people, they only want to survive this and cause terror. That's really the entire point.

He needs to escalate things now not wait.

Yeah, this regime only cares about themselves.

So only two realistic options are on the table, make peace with them or totally destroy them (full on ground invasion)

But the media has been doing this to Israel for decades, so why don't the US just let Israel take care of the problem? I don't know why the US has to be the ones doing it

Killing 150 children did very little to move the needle in the Trump base, they accepted any one of the stories, how it did not happen or Iran did it or they just put a school too close to their (possibly AI hallucinated) naval base.

See now also how threatening attacking civilian infrastructure is not terrorist anymore when Trump does it but Fuck Yeah America Gloves Are Off.

A surprising and alarming amount of 'it's fine for Iran to have nuclear weapons' sentiment in this thread, considering their current terroristic position towards the strait. This is a tiny fraction of the leverage an Iran with nukes would have.

Relying on MAD and hoping for the best with Islamic terrorists is suicidally reckless as a policy to begin with, but most of Europe cannot even meet the 'mutually assured' part of this equation.

Iran's nuclear program was totally and utterly obliterated last year by the biggest bombs dropped by the most beautiful planes.

How can they have rebuilt decades of work so quickly to now be an imminent threat?

"blocakde of hormuz straight starts to affect semiconductor, medical image diagnosis, some agriculture fields and other industries, scientists warns that humanity soon would encounter with very hard difficulties, that humanity hasn't prepared."
that's my morning news, thanks Donald.

No matter how the war shakes out brace for impact. Im going on holiday to the Maldives early next month and am assuredly confident that the next time I can go on vacation on a reasonable budget is well into the next year if that.

This is what I don't understand. Wasn't it all completed in the middle of last year. They were so happy with their accomplishment. I'm a bit confused.
