Potentially not true. Unlike other tech demos, Nintendo has never denied or confirmed if that is an actual Zelda in development. Aunoma wants a new Zelda out soon(er), and Miyamoto has already pointed out Retro being a good fit for the series.
Retro on the other hand started development on a "new" title during development of DKCR. What if they have been working on a Wii U Zelda this whole time, and they created that demo using assets from the project?
The long sailing time of creating Skyward Sword, a game to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Zelda series, has just come to an end. The voices of those whove played it from around the world reach us. We hear their admiration comments, and their criticism too. All those voices become energy for the next voyage. Well, to tell the truth, weve already set sail in a new voyage.

Its probably the cheapest LCD screen Nintendo can get away with. So yeah.
Framerate was terrible in that street demo, but at least it seems to look nice.

In any case, I don't think it's supposed to show you anything about the console's horsepower, it just features one of the controller's abilities.
Retro's Zelda....as a FPA.
Aonuma just recently said they started working on the new Zelda already...if that was the demo he would have said so

Thecongressman1 said:Again, those are higher quality TP models. If Retro is making a Zelda game, it will most likely not look like anything Zelda team has done so far. They aren't just going to reuse TP as a template.
Well yes, the project (demo) after all was lead by Twilight Princess director Satoru Takizawa. But that still doesn't change the possibility that Retro could of been involved with the creation of it.
Not really news considering they start working on a new Zelda or Mario right after each installment in each series is released. There is no break period.Aonuma just recently said they started working on the new Zelda already...if that was the demo he would have said so

Well the streetview appears to be a really complicated google-view from all angles. I wonder how much the framerate had to do with the system itself and how much it had to do with how the footage was compiled and put together. In any case, I don't think it's supposed to show you anything about the console's horsepower, it just features one of the controller's abilities.
Yeah, framerate aside that was really impressive. I'm still trying to figure out how they rendered it without any hint of the car the camera had to have been mounted to.

I think it was a small miniature plane with multiple cameras (my guess)
Spoilers, it was actually real time and it's GTA5.
You can tell because of the shitty frame rate.
I still say that Zelda demo has the best lighting I've seen of any game to date. Beautiful demonstration of Global Illumination.
Then everyone would bash it and start demanding SS art-style.I hope Zelda actually uses an art style similar.
Video hands-on at The Verge.

Is this a Zelda cycle post that generalizes forum opinions. Then everyone would bash it and start demanding SS art-style.

Eiji Aonuma, producer of the series, says we shouldn’t read too much into the switched-up graphic style.
“You probably remember that when we introduced the GameCube, we showed a somewhat realistic Zelda demo,” he said. “And what we actually created was the cel-shaded Wind Waker. So when we show a graphic demo, people think, ‘Oh, this is what the next Zelda will look like,’ but that’s not necessarily the case,” he said.
Well yes, the project (demo) after all was led by Twilight Princess director Satoru Takizawa. But that still doesn't change the possibility that Retro could of been involved with the creation of it.
The Zelda team, all hard at work on Skyward Sword, didn’t make the Wii U tech demo, Aonuma says, although he noted that Satoru Takizawa, art director of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, headed up its production.
The more I watch the Zelda demo.... it screams Nintendo-like with a western influence. maturer tone, Spider crawling past the window, spider crashing through the ceiling, dramatic camera angles, etc. I'm starting to really believe Retro is involved.
apparently itsThe only thing that makes me believe that this demo could have anything to do with the next Zelda title is the fact that...well, HD assets aren't the quickest things to just whip up.
Yeah, the gamecube Zelda demo had a realistic art style, but looking back there really wasn't that much to it. Very little texture work, basic lighting, and the scene itself was very short. The most impressive thing were the character models, and even those didn't hold up against the best games the gamecube ended up getting. That demo was something that was very obviously thrown together, even then.
In comparison, this Wii U Zelda demo is incredibly intricate. Assets far too detailed to be upscaled TP leftovers, lighting more sophisticated than anything we've seen on PS360, impressive models, and a scene that even has a decent level of interactivity.
I don't believe that Nintendo would create all of that for just a throwaway demo.
At least, I don't want to believe that
It's using TP assests, not just artstyle.
So jelly of Ross there.Video hands-on at The Verge.

Well seeing as its literally the only thing they had at E3 for their newly revealed console that didn't have a fugly Mii artstyle, it's possible they may have thought "shit we better make this decent".
^It's 1 room, the spider is from TP, so is Link, and Nintendo has had plenty of time to do this.
3D Zelda's don't get to re-use artstyles anymore, it seems.
apparently its
And that's definitely not the same Link model. This one's much more boyish looking.
So jelly of Ross there.
I need to try this out.
I was thinking that the Link in the demo is TP Link's body but with SS Link's head
the hair geometry gives it away
it might be a brand new model entirely though
Coughbirddemocough
Not a vidya game.

The Zelda TECH DEMO was just there to show off graphics.
Nothing more, nothing less.
There is no hidden meaning behind it.
There is no big secret Retro game that will sprout from it.
It was just a talking point.
Just like all the other Zelda tech demos.
If anything, it just means we'll get something even better!
