With the old suit it seemed like the armor was part of it. This suit it looks like armor is slapped on top of clothing.

This x 100. Most of the new armor looks like it's meant to be discarded once he enters atmosphere or something. There's way too much exposed under-armor, which is presumably much weaker than the outermost layer.

I was looking at that.. Im betting its similar to the feature that the chest/shoulders/etc had in the past toys to allow swapping of armor. It may just be a toy thing, or it may confirm chiefs armor allowing upgrades in SP. Who knows, but still interesting.
