Where do you live that Wi-fi is only at home?
I'm an ATT DSL customer, so I have this (8 locations in my zip code):
http://www.att.com/gen/general?pid=13540
In addition to every Starbucks, McDonalds, Universities, small businesses, etc.
So people that played uncharted vita.
Can that right stick handle call of duty mp?
They are already making concessions on the big screen versions (sub HD). I don't think they will be aiming at 60 FPS for this one. I mean I'd love it, gameplay > gfx and all but still, not really realistic imo.It could be possible for it to run COD with proper concessions. Mortal Kombat Vita had to tone down the polygons and some things, but it manage to look great and it's at 60 fps. It can be argued that fighters are easier to reach 60 fps, but I think it's possible with concessions.
I don't think anyone would chose it over the big screen version (maybe a select few, who knows). Fans would probably double-dip.You won't be able to play this over 3G, so that limits you to Wi-Fi. Which for most people would only be available at home.
So it begs the question, why would you choose this over the PS3 version?
I think CoD on the go could be really fun, especially now that you can play it with dual analog sticks. I'll definitely keep an eye on it.
Nah CoD Vita will be duking it out with CoD 3DS (for all we know they could be the same game just with better graphics etc for the cod version).
One has a bigger install base and better control scheme (with CCP) the other has better graphics.
The fight is on.
Northern Ireland is shocking for Wi-Fi outside of Starbucks and a few BT Openzone areas, but those speeds are awful.
So much potential.. Lets see if they take advantage. I'll be buying a Black Ops 2 regardless.
Treyarch's doing the next one, right? Cool, then the Vita and PS3 versions will run at the same resolution.
Can someone please detail the demographic they expect this game will reach? So far I hardly see any COD players voicing their interest for it, just a lot of comments about what it will do for the hardware sales from people not really focused on the game side of things.
It certainly could end up that way.Neat one. But no.
It certainly could end up that way.
Have they said it won't be 544p? Otherwise, I'm going to have to say wait and see. BlkOps did incredibly well, I don't see why they'd be all that compelled to improve it.Treyarch were admonished, and have learned their lesson.
Aren't most dedicated COD users on the 360 anyway, that is where the lion's share resides
Why would they want a VITA, even if stats/ranks are cross-platform enabled
I highly doubt that is #GAMECHANGER

PC not doing well I see.60 percent 360, 40 percent PS3.
360 is not dictating.

That's pretty mind blowing. It is mortifying.
40 million people play Call of Duty.
That's pretty mind blowing.
Let's not get carried away now.
Activision today said its Call of Duty franchise has more than 40 million monthly active users across all of its titles, half of that coming from the latest release, Modern Warfare 3.
DD hasn't been factored into PC has it?
When people say "on the go" what are we imagining here? Both the SP and MP being intact and available on the Vita with no compromises?
Cross-play with PS3 owners? (Which in my opinion will be a seriously mismatched massacre) and i would imagine Acti would charge for.
bububu Mario Kart
Pardon?
I had mentioned earlier that no CoD had outsold Mario Kart Wii.
To be fair, COD gets yearly sequels.
Yea, 20m+ every year is still better than 32m every 5 years.

This. Seriously, playing on a Vita against those at home using their Dualshocks has got to come at a disadvantage. Either that or Treyarch will have to really ramp up the autoaim on the Vita version. Even if they do, are console players gonna wanna play against Vita auto-aimbots? Crap, Sony couldn't even convince IW to put Move support in MW3.
Yeah, that sounds really fun; being completely gimped, tiny monitor and getting shot a lot as you travel!
It's like a kinder egg.
Yes this is true.
The impressive thing about MK though is that it's only on one platform. To contribute to that 32m figure, you have to buy that one particular system. It's the very definition of a system seller.
snip...buncha cool Vita ideas...
lol at anyone thinking a 3DS version would be anything like the Vita version.
No Dual Anaolg out of the box
Online network is nowhere near PSN on Vita
Good luck with your FPS on DS goals for 2012 GAF. lol
Mortifying? Really? I'd rather consider it a testament to the excellent, refined taste of the PC audience.59 percent 360.
39 percent PS3.
2 percent PC.
Earnestly, PC is nonentity, put next to the consoles.
Darn, Source is, as we deal with this, more actively played than MW3.
Less than one percent of MW3's first-week (record) sales in the UK (2 million) were on the PC.
It is mortifying.
MK has been bound together with the Wii for quite some time now.
