Glorious battle visuals and attacks from all. Mahiro and Takuma's looked the best. I hope Tamaki is able to use attacks to and doesnt always need protection, though if it allows the others to shine more then I wouldnt mind. OP and ED are mellow but nice and overall atmosphere in the anime is nice. I pray it does see domestic home video release.

Well I mean the whole show depicts the muggles of that world as totally incompetent.
Kiritsugi blows up an entire building, and with conventional explosives presumably, and they show no sign of tracking him down. Ryuunosuke kidnaps and murders dozens of children and no one finds out about his poorly-hidden lair. All normal people are morons I guess.

I'd like to think that in this universe, the Americans are so desperate for relevance that they're sending people to the moon again - a project that no American outside of people who are space contractors are interested in seeing happen. They must have been crushed by cheap Chinese labour and international technological advances!

Well. I think some of those things make sense at least.
Whenever you hear about a building collapsing in China due to a fire or some construction fault, do you automatically assume that someone blew it up? Do you even follow details on the actual accident other than what is reported? While it might be an unusual event, I don't think it is something which would really get a ton of long term interest in the news. And considering how Fuyuki City is the battleground for each Grail War, I would imagine there is a certain amount of influence the magical world has on their media and political affairs.
As for Ryuunosuke, which lair is the poorly hidden one? The one in the outlet pipe? If you recall, it is actually guarded by monsters, and presumably other sorts of illusions to guard against normal people. The reason why Rider could easily get in is because well... he's Rider.

True, but considering the fact that he's young and not married is something that gives more incentive for him to go to another country. Sending a resume to another country isn't hard, when you consider his achievements he probably wouldn't even need to. There would be international companies giving him job offers.
He doesn't really know anything besides words relating to space but it's never too late to learn especially given his age.

Given that his mom had to send his resume to JAXA for him, I'd say part of the problem is a lack of motivation on Mutta's part. He's too busy questioning whether he had done anything worthwhile with his life to worry about investing energy in looking for overseas jobs.
It sounds like a goal to work towards.

Nazo no Kanojo X 01
Oh my, oh my... This was... simply masterful. The imagery, from the obvious phallic and yonic to the little things like the lights going on, the lighting, the very composition. It's all low budget sort of anime things, but everything about it screams skill and precision. And the music! Don't even get me started! It's just so absolutely masterful! Thoughtful, relevant, and it does a damned fine job of pointing out plot points. The traditional composition really sold the sort of soft and innocent romance element, and discovering the "world" so to speak. It reminds me of so many brilliant films. I am just utterly floored.
Oh, and Ayako Yoshitani! Good God, she sold that character to me on the first word. As soon as she said "Yoroushku" I had to pause because my heart stopped. There was some slight awkwardness in how fast her explanation came, but I'll put that to script or director. Damn, I am made a fan.
I know that Upotte!! panders (and panders hard) to the gun nerd in me, but Nazo no Kanojo X panders to something different and more cerebral, but far far more satisfying: the film snob in me. I just love it, from start to finish. Everything about it from the art style to the music to the fantastic work by Yoshitani, this is the best show of the season. I can't possibly imagine anything coming close. Not even Kyo-Ani can touch this.

Oh yeah, I forgot that was turned into an anime.
I think when he said "next" he probably meant their next big project, not smaller ones they're working on, on the side.
I dunno. I think they want to strike while the iron is hot. Finishing the story to Fate/Zero on their own unique terms makes sense.

What a fantastic change of pace from the other episodes. I'm really glad Rin's awesome both as a kid and when she grows up, plus seeing Tokiomi in a different light was really nice. It was somewhat touching, too... good shit.

Everything there happens in the manga? That's not really true, though. I directly compared the first two chapters of the manga (what this episode animates) to the anime, and that stuff I mentioned, including her trip to the nurse's, doesn't happen there. The manga expanded maybe 3 pages worth of her thinking about him shooting her as his gun to like half of an episode. Unless you're saying that that other stuff came from other chapters, but they put it into ep. 1 instead? But no, I don't remember things like that school nurse's office scene in the manga. Another addition is that scene of her in the bath.
The manga goes straight from her showing him to the school the night before, to the beginning of the school day the next day; the anime inserts in a bath scene with her thinking about him some more in between. Then it adds several more scenes of her thinking about him in class than exist in the manga, and adds that nurses's office scene as well. Ch. 2 of the manga has exactly one page (two panels, actually) of her thinking about that stuff, in the sports field and not in the classroom, before they go off to try to visit him in the hospital. Sure, the sentiment is the same, but the amount is different, and more of it makes it worse. You need to go look at the manga again, that stuff isn't there, at least it isn't in chs. 1-2 for sure!
As for the rest of what you say, I do agree that animating it made it creepier, but they definitely added to it as well. Some stuff is the same -- the festival scene at the beginning is pretty much identical for instance, and many others -- but not all of it. And also, as I said, in the manga his head isn't shadowed for absolutely no reason through the first 80% of the first chapter, he has a face like anyone else.
Oh, there were a few anime additions other than that that were kind of amusing --
for instance, having the building that the girls shoot at (after he calls her "T-back girl") collapse was amusing, it doesn't in the manga. Also, she doesn't get that 3-day suspension in the manga (for shooting him the second time)
Also, yeah, that little bit with them making the videos was new, wasn't it... that was kind of amusing, sure.As for the first part being from the 4koma, I'd forgotten that... that's why it was funny, then.

Well it depends on who gets to decide what. Type-Moon has been talking forever about redoing Tsukihime(the VN) and a great anime adaptation would help fuel that hype. Also unlike the Fate franchise, there really isn't anything in the Tsukihime corner and TM might want to fill that gap.
Heaven's Feel is way too hard to do properly due to the multiple sex scenes being somewhat integral to the storyline. I would like to see them try but it would be butchered to high heaven. Popularity-wise HF would indeed be the logical jump but it would be extremely hard to pull off.

Hiramatsu is a long suffering animator who wants to direct Ghost Rhapsody but ends up being stuck on projects like Professor Layton and Evangelion movies instead. As the director of the overall piece, I guess it makes sense that he also closes the piece.

Well, we don't know the format yet for these projects. Girls' Work may be the next "big" tv series after Fate/Zero (Sakura no Ondo looks more like an OVA or a movie). I think they are at least bigger projects than the Anime Bunko OVAs they did recently or the Tales of Symphonia OVAs.

Well if they got a lot of work done on it before changing the format to an anime it might be a big project, but we won't know till we hear some more information.

Big as in KnK and Fate/Zero. I don't think there is any chance at all that Girls' Work is anything like that.
I wouldn't assume it offhand, but any video of the collapse would clearly show that it was caused by controlled demolitions.
Well, that's a fair point. However, it is true that
Casterzilla would be almost impossible to cover up unless they literally have mass brainwashing magic. Which is quite possible I guess. That's the convenient thing about magic, you can easily put such plot devices into your story.

Yes but what are the odds of there being video footage of such a collapse in a minor Japanese city in the 90s? It seems like a pretty closed up place even within Japan honestly.
Yes, there is no way to cover up Casterzilla, but since I don't know how the events will play out from this, I'll rather not speculate on it right now.

Another part of the problem is that the writing for F/SN is just flat out not as sharp as F/Z. The characters aren't as interesting as their F/Z counterparts. Urobuchi would have to rewrite the entire scenario using HF as a rough outline.

Awesome? More like she's a somewhat dumb shoujo haato who happens to have tons of plot armor. Of course, being dumb is excusable as she's only a kid.
