Max Payne 3 PC Features Detailed.

Waiting to see its performance with a Phenom ii x4, 8gb ram and a 1st gen 560ti 1gb before I pull the trigger. Specs make it sound like there will be significant compromises (for me).

@ 1680x1050, that is.

Is it a good idea to buy Max Payne 3 off Steam using a VPN like GoTrusted? Rockstar games are never released on time in our part of the world.

I ain't trippin I'll be at work tomorrow anyway. As long as I can start the DL before I leave for work in the morning I should be good. Make this top end internet package from Comcast (that I overpay for) go to work and all should be well by the time I get home.

I SAY SHOULD BE if they don't screw something up

This PC version is being mishandled in an eerily similar way that Arkham City was, and I didn't think we'd see a game that mistreated and mishandled for a long time on PC. If people remember, when it finally did come out after several meaningless delays (like this) DX11 didn't even work at all. People were getting 1fps no matter how strong their PC was.

It will be interesting to see this unfold.

Where the fuck is the PC trailer?

Oh R* ... atleast give us the trailer jeez.

Just let me skip all cutscenes on replays and I'll double dip here.

If this is not included there will for sure be a free custom plugin to skip the cut scenes so I don't think you need to worry about that. Hell you couldn't play San Andreas on 1920 x 1080 with later versions of the game if it weren't for custom tools from the community.

Noob question icoming: Why?

Its against Steam's TOS and breaking the TOS is a great way to get your account suspended. Besides there's no point in using a VPN to buy games because its easier to have someone in another country gift the game to you.

So will someone please help me out here? Is there at least another digital distribution platform that doesn't make the game region specific and allows me to load it onto Steam? I don't want to wait a week and a half for a retail copy. If someone can gift this to me and give me their paypal address, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Getting around 600KBps, which equates to a download time of aproximately 14 hours (should finish by ~2PM). A 12-hour pre-load period for a game of this size is pathetic.

this is your max speed ?

I'm currently at 2mb/s witch is my max. 4 hours left

Good news so far is I'm getting my max speed, so it should be done around 6-7pm tonight (it's 12pm now). Plenty of time thankfully.

Never got the Witcher 2 so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Sounds bad though :lol

It was pretty bad. Due to some issues on CD Project RED's side the Pre-load started literally a few hours before the launch of the game.

They had announced it should be available for preload days before launch.
