These dives look spectacular to me but then the commentators immediately start shitting on them. I have no idea what is going on.

let's just say they're doping and we can feel better.
It's called having more money than everyone else and a strong desire to out perform them. The Chinese sure love to impress the world.

TeamGB :(

Yup, smooth 3450 kbps, sometimes drop to 720p for a few seconds but then comes back to 1080p
I was talking about the resolution your computer is set in. Mine struggles at 1920*1080 in full screen ( like hardware struggling, not bandwith struggling ), but when I change it to 720p all goes well.

There's just too much pressure on Team GB.

Tom has been hyped up too much, and it will have hurt his chances.

Yeah. Can't help thinking we'll do much worse than Beijing. There we had no pressure because everyone was still looking towards London, and we got a fantastic result. The home fans want Britain to do well, but there is a ton of pressure. We just need someone to get one so everyone can relax a bit

Mmm well, they are all very good but some are much better than others. Whether they make a big splash, are straight when they enter the water, are completely synced, entered the water at the same time and what sort of difficulty of the dive.

I'm also in 1920x1080. What is your configuration ? I have a Dual Core, 1GB 9500GT and 2GB Ram

*Athletes fuck up* British news reporter to athlete: "I'm sure that wasn't the performance you wanted but Britain is still proud of you!"

No we're not. You're a professional athlete and you're not doing a good enough job. You get paid to do this stuff and you keep on fucking up, get it sorted or have your funding pulled.

You have to wonder how much the media circuit before the Olympics messed with the athletes routine. There seemed to be half a dozen docs profiling each person in Team GB.

Population has nothing to do with it, they are just strict with their training day in day out, like most of the chinese
It's not everything, but population has a lot to do with it. It's crazy to think otherwise.

While competing in your home country gives you the support of all the public, at the same time you have so much pressure on your shoulder. I remember during Beijing 2008 lots of Chinese athletes were extremely tense, especially during the Diving, one of the girl who won at the end started crying.

I'm aware of that but I'm just starting to think the pressure is too much across the board and a lot of them will choke.
The cyclists were under pressure in Beijing and still delivered and have competed in Britain before at the World Championships in Manchester. I think they will do fine.
