Is this the number 1 American? He's in trouble now. (archery)
Wiggins riding around trying to find his family. Haha this is great
Archery seems like a pretty inconsistent sport. Once you let that arrow go there's no guarantee that a gust a wind won't blow it slightly off course and take away your gold medal. Is this the number 1 American? He's in trouble now. (archery)
Those two awards are guaranteed to happen now.Has anyone won the Tour De France and Olympic Gold in the same year?

We do? I don't. It's a competition of nations, isn't every athlete representing their country patriotic? What do you expect?
I don't fully understand why they let a country (not just China) have multiple national teams in one event.China vs. China for table tennis Gold. Eh.
We'll boo cheaters like with the badminton. Not really, Olympics should be a celebration of sports, this is why nobody boos in the audience. It's about the athletes doing their best, like Bolt breaking the world record, nobody really care if he's is Jamaican or not. But I understand some people use it as a way to say their nation is the best.

It couldn't possibly be this is an American board with a majority American membership so the amount of cheering for... America... may seem disproportionately greater than any other country?

match to end all matches, they should throw it.
The Olympics takes the place of world championship competitions during Olympic years. Many of these competitions are not nation vs. nation competitions, but just athletes competing to be the best in the world. That's why there are multiple entries for those sports.I don't fully understand why they let a country (not just China) have multiple national teams in one event.
Others have said it... but if you do use our fantastic BBC (which we all pay for!) please consider giving a little to the BBC backed charities of Children In Need or Sport Relief. How to easily watch olympics on bbc in the US on both MAC and PC
