Are they some kind of government institution? You know gymnasts have their own coaches and compete in things that aren't nation-based competitions most of the time, right? The Olympics is just every 4 years.

I have no idea how they operate but apparently there wasn't much interest in gymnastics in the UK before the Olympics so it honestly wouldn't surprise me to learn there was a combined effort to not completely embarrass ourselves in London.

I am also not imagining the article where they talked about this and how the Japanese took interest. It doesn't matter anyway because at least our bronze medal will create more interest in male Gymnastics in the UK.
