What? Did the upper crust bring us another gold?

We'll take it.

Edit: LOL Lottery funding for dressage? Aren't the horses alone worth £1m+?

Only once they're trained up. In an interview yesterday one of them said the horse was £4000 when it was bought - worth 6 figures now.

Wow, that's surprisingly affordable. I would have thought horses are much more expensive. The more you know...

Would also be quite difficult to participate without a horse, the rider will actually have to make the hopjes and pirouettes on their own :p.

Belgian cyclist Gijs Van Hoecke (who finished 15th in the Omnium) was excluded from the games after photos of him drunk from celebrating the end of his competition.

It's the upkeep that's expensive. Yard fees, vet bills and food costs a lot. Even so it's probably cheaper than owning a car these days.

The massive sums of money are only for racehorses really and that's because they're an investment.

Now I'll be waiting for a bronce medal in Beachvollybal. After that kicking some Brittish ass at hockey. To end the day with Martina showing Bolt his behinds.

I hope.

I thought I'd be more fed up with Chariots of Fire by now. It's a lot easier to like it when it's because your country is winning!

Well some are, a German family bought this dressage horseTotilas for a sum between 9.5 and 15m Euro. But unfortunately its rider got Mono right before the Olympics and had to drop out.
