I got my Licence degree (LLCE English) in 2011 before switching to Computational Linguistics. If you have even a slight interest in British and American culture, you're in for a blast. Your degree will be absolutely useless save for being a teacher but damn if it isn't fun. Consider it like three years of vacation with a few mandatory readings and presentations before your Masters.

Which year are you in?
I'm starting year 2 this fall.
 
London clubs are going to be crazy tonight. Full of Olympic athletes getting hosed. Wonder how many medals are going to get stolen or lost.
 
That cauldron really is magnificent. Both as a piece of engineering, what it symbolises and how it was lit. Good job with that one, London, you took us all by surprised.
Only bad thing about the cauldron was how it was locked up inside the stadium. Not sure what was the protocol for people visiting the park wanting to see the cauldron without a ticket to athletics.
 
I always feel a profound sadness when the Olympics end. I hate it. I like how they are so special because they are so infrequent, but it hurts so much :(
