Maybe ESPN can come up with another billion or so to outbid NBC.
I was really disappointed when New York didn't win it, but thinking of all the construction, congestion, and attention just scared me off quickly.
Are you sure we'll bid?
These threads made NBC sound like north korean state television.
Did they show it?They even dubbed God Save the Queen with My Country Tis of Thee.

I thought most athletes were forced to leave the olympic village after their events ended. Where does everyone go?
Really? I wasn't sure if everyone stayed, but assumed that majority stayed around to support their team/enjoy the atmosphere while awaiting the closing ceremony.
We don't take kindly to kings and queens around here.
New York or Chicago will almost assuredly get them in 2024 now that the USOC and IOC resolved their revenue dispute, IOC wants dat American sponsorship cash.
They stay with the opposite sex members of competing countries.Where does everyone go?
Alex Morgan and Sydney Leroux at the same time, mmhmm.
Missy Franklin cleans up nice.

I doubt he still holds any resentmentPaul McCartney must be pissed watching this.
I mean more of the attention, but I was just joking.I doubt he still holds any resentment
I doubt it will be NYC. A number of the areas where we were going to theoretically build facilities for the Olympics are being used for other construction projects, and there isn't really an abundance of space left for the kinds of things we'd need to build, except maybe way the fuck out of the way in Queens. Plus we JUST built Citi Field, the new Yankee Stadium, and MetLife Stadium over in NJ. MSG is getting a complete interior overhaul currently, and the Barclay's Center out in Brooklyn is only a month or so from opening.
I don't think there's going to be much interest in building even more new major athletic facilities any time soon.
Wait, it's still the Olympics in Australia, right? You know, time zones!
Guys?
Guys...?
The one benifit of NBC tape delay. The olympics wont end here for a couple more hours
Yeah I've read about that but I still think they'll put in a bid; 2024 is a long time from now. Plus I really wanna see a 54 year old Jay Z signing Empire State Of Mind during the opening ceremony.
I cant hear George Micheal without thinking of arrested development.
