Is there some specific statement you wanted to point out? To me it seems like this video and wikipedia article make the same points.

Have any of the other press members chimed in with their take on this, either on twitter or podcasts?
He was fired because management could not trust him any more, they wanted better/higher scores for games that where coming up and coming up as marketing on the site.Is there some specific statement you wanted to point out? To me it seems like this video and wikipedia article make the same points.
Ok so he was fired because he generally didn't score games high enough/let reviews with low rating pass.He was fired because management could not trust him any more, they wanted better/higher scores for games that where coming up and coming up as marketing on the site.
Jeff just did his job as EiC, and the Kane and Lynch was just around that time.
Jeff was fired before the review even was live.

Wasn't there some guy fired because he gave Kany & Lynch 2 a bad score?
Gaf is being very silly. Has anyone had any issues with the articles of VOX publications or on Verge/Polygon so far? I haven't. This PR stuff and their Twitter is another matter, but so far their actual work has been good. Vox stuff has always been high standard, so I expect this to be too. I've issues with Crecente stuff on Kotaku in the past, but Chris Grant and Justin McElroy have done good work.
Verge is pretty solid. Polygon not so much.
The most recent Polygon screw-up was when their "news writer" "covered" the MGS movie announce from the perspective of someone at the press conference.
Only Polygon didn't pay to send anyone. The "writer" simply copied from another reporter's twitter feed, didn't bother to fact check random assumptions and confirmed the wrong studio as backing the film.
I understand the desire to be "first," but being accurate is more important. If Polygon isn't going to bother with accuracy in reporting and is going to rely on random Twitter comments for "confirmed news" its rep is going to drop like a rock.

Remember kids: No matter how hard your job is, reviewing games is much harder. You might have to stay up late! https://www.google.com/search?q=cry...UoAQ&biw=768&bih=928#biv=i|0;d|xNZKcTHnK9WVlM :

Don't joke about this. Reviewing video games is serious business.
Patrick Klepek said:@Greenspeak @justinmcelroy @pkollar Also, if I may add a wrinkle, it's the grumbling in the doc + all the grumbling that happens on Twitter.
Which episode are they going to cover how they report news by using other people's twitter feed?
Polygon: Its not fun, games are serious.

What happened?Holy shit at the comments on that young girl's KH review.
What happened?
Hey, thems the breaks when you put out a documentary series trailer that outright says all the competition is garbage. They painted a target on their own backs. Jeff Green's response is about as friendly as it gets when you pull a dick move like that.
Oh is that all. I thought someone was making fun of some kid's review.I didn't read it (just pulling the link from quick google search: http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012...dream-drop-distance-review-dropping-the-dream )
But judging by the review score, I'm guessing a lot of KH fans raged over it
OUR DOCUMENTARY IS MEANT TO BE AS SUPER SERIOUS AS OUR INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT JOBS! WHY DON'T YOU ALL SEE THAT!!!!!
